From what JSR did to his crossman 1522 pellet gun, I was inspired to do a modding "blog" type thing. From what I was thinking, I was gonna take a cheap, but full metal airsoft GBB, and modify it to take HPA and then try to increase velocity.

I was thinking a cheap GBB like these:

Mods as planned:

Tightbore barrel
Increasing valve flow
Modding to HPA and increasing pressure from 120psi to 200psi
Shorter/longer barrel depending on what increases velocity

Normally a longer barrel helps, it depends on the speed of the blowback action though - if the breech opens before the BB leaves the muzzle you could actually lose performance.

This will increase stress to the blowback mechanism, I'll wager the SRC product is more resistant to the abuse in this regard.
