I have a question that I can't find an answer to elsewhere. Maybe someone can help me out. I just got a good connection and updated/registered my copy of the Half Life gamepak. I'm very new to net gaming and have been playing Deathmatch Classic, and when playing , people keep remarking: Where's the admin? they should kick alkalineal (me) off. Ive asked what is the problem with no luck. I haven't been engaging in any nasty behavior (that I know of) or cheating, so whats the problem dammit ? I'd guess either you're lagging (thus slowing down the game, because your computer/connection cant keep up), or, no offense intended, they just don't want n00bs on their server.
What's your ping? 50-75 or less is good, 100 or less is acceptable.

No offense taken, I'm decent at playing first person shooters because I used to play the doom series a LOT when I was a teenager, but I have no idea about technical issues. I don't know what my ping is, my connection is roadrunner via wireless card, don't know if that tells you anything. Thanks for taking a stab at my question, much appreciated. Oh, and people only bitch and complain during DMC, not any other games so I don't know about the connection.

I used to play day of defeat source, I found out for most servers the ping limit is 200-250, as im down under my ping was 270 but I joined there clan and they made it 300 so I could play. But CSS may have stricter ping limits.
i have comcast, its mad fast when i play age of empres my ping was in the 40s-60s
