hmm I probably wouldn't think twice about teh cracks. but then again im not to "safe" when working with those guns
And yea they are VERY loud. Cops must get lots of calls about them. When I shot mine off it sounded like a cannon going off. Was louder then a gunshot. Was just waitin for the neighbors to call the cops. But hey when the potato makes it bout 400-500 feet ya can't complain

I didn't get around to rebuilding it but I am going to get the pipes today. yester day I got out of school at 11 and iI when to my friends house and the three of us had more fun than I have had in a long time. shooting flour at each other with potato launchers and one of my friends guns had a really bad missfire I was holding the gun in my hand not ready to shoot yet, I was talking on the phone with my mom and then al of the sudden BOOOM The damn thing went off I am guessing there was a short in the trigger. Guessing on the angle that the potato launched it landed on the free way about 300+ feet away
You can get in crap for launching things onto a road.
Its always a good idea to have a safety device on your cannon. I've got a mini ball valve to seal off my QEV from being triggered by the blowgun and some people use ball valves to block the air from reaching the barrel.
In a combustion or hybrid you should have a switch completely separate from the trigger to break the circuit so pressing the trigger will do nothing until you want it to.
Better to find the cannon not firing when you want it to (because the safety is on) than it firing when you don't want it to.

Don't get me started dumb ass. Cellular core ABS is perfect for a combustion and is perfectly safe, its also extremely lightweight. Solid wall ABS is hard to find and heavier. Have you heard of a Cell core abs combustion fail with normal fuels? No but I have heard PVC horror stories.Bluetooth wrote:Cellular core is not preferred, ABS is.
Bluetooth, recently I have taken an extreme disliking of you, and don't tell me I'm wrong.
Lol, I have launched my fairr share of tennis balls at a near by freeway.Hotwired wrote:You can get in crap for launching things onto a road.
Current project: Afghanistan deployment
I' a neutral party you guys(and you know who you are). But Abs in combustion use is safe as lon as yo don't do something stupid like fill it with gunpowder or something on the order of that. But everyone knows it's a no no for pneumatic.

okay so I have redone my gun and I wanted to ask a question. I made it so I can break down my gun, seprate the barrel from the chamber for transport. but I can not get it to screw on all of the way, I have tried everything I can think of and I cut off about 1/4 of the threads and it still wont go on. how can I get it to go on. when I scew it on as far as it goes it is solid and wond budge but I would fel more comfortable if it screwed on all of the way.
Use teflon tape to make sure it's sealing. It still probably will not go on all the way, but thats ok. It's just the barrel that could leak and lose pressure(not likley) not the ever so important chamber. Work on it you will get it right.
