This cannon was originally posted on Spudtech, but seeing as how that site is down indefinitely, I plan on posting several of my past cannons here.
It was one of my favorites, although it required quite a bit of redesigning to get the ignition to work reliably.

Basketball Combustion Cannon
As I probably said on Spudtech, very nice cannon. So few people make these large diameter pipe launchers... consequently, the few that are made are always something that greatly interests me.
How does the power of this one compare to the power of the one which used the concrete bucket endcap or the one that used the cast iron endcap?

The power of this one was very similar to that of all of my previous basketball launchers. The only difference was the length of the barrel on this one, which as you can see, is extremely short!rmich732 wrote: How does the power of this one compare to the power of the one which used the concrete bucket endcap or the one that used the cast iron endcap?
It'll punch a basketball so high, that it becomes a small dot in the sky at its apogee. Everyone who attended the 1st Annual Las Vegas Spud Meet can attest to its performance.
I gave this launcher to benstern, but never heard if he actually used it?

Have you ever been tempted to just hop in there and blast yourself out? Or at least the dog?
That's an amazing cannon, one few that actually deserves to be called a cannon. Nice work.

No -because it would violate Main Forum Rules #2, which specifically states:PVC Arsenal 17 wrote:Have you ever been tempted to just hop in there and blast yourself out? Or at least the dog?
Discussion of shooting anything at any person and/or animal is prohibited, and may result in a permanent banning of your account.
Even though you'd be shooting "it", instead of shooting "at it", it's all the same!
Any attempt to argue against this would be in direct violation of Main Forum Rule #8, which specifically states:
Intentional exploitation of loopholes may result in new rules.
I (for one) don't want any more rules!

There are rules, and then there are hundred dollar bills.
