Hey,
does anyone know the thickness of regular SCH 40 PVC pipe, or maybe where i could find it. Im at school right now and i dont have the tools to take an accurate measurement. I need it to analyze my mini cannon that i built.
Just trying to put some engineering and physics to good use.
thanks,

Here is a really useful page that I use all the time.

Thanks alot for that link. With those numbers my calculations show that PVC should be a fairly safe material. I dont want to list the numbers that i got just incase it is wrong, but it seems that the people that made PVC have built in a fairly big factor or saftey. (But you must keep it out of extreme temperatures.)
Ill try to get some pictures of it. But it is just a basic "compressed air" gun.

You went through all that work for that? You could have just researched or asked simply, "How much pressure can PVC hold safely?"
