My newest thrown-together gun
My newest airsoft strafer, thrown together for the competition. It utilizes a clear 1" SDR 21 chamber, a spring powered plunger, ghetto cut (but very clean) threads in the back, a 2 foot 9/32" brakeline barrel, a fake silencer that looks really kickass, a modified blowgun in a PVC handle, some clear epoxy, a clear vortex block with no shrouds and the front filed away for better feed, and some other stuff. It's about as strong as the Pocket Strafer but has a higher ROF and lasts longer (compared to the 1 second of firing out of the Pocket Strafer ).

Looks very nice! I really need to build a BBMG sometime soon (and if I do, it will be an inline vortex block).
This is a very clean gun; did you use a bottle cap for the plunger?
Those are pretty clean threads; for my upcoming project though, I am going to need to get a 2" tap

Yep, it's a soda bottle cap with expanding rubber to make it seal.
I have yet to buy a tap of any size! They're too expensive, I just ghetto tap all mine, though with this one I couldn't. A steel nipple was the same size though, so I heated the plastic to make it soft screwed the nipple in, heated, screwed in, etc., until I had enough threads.

I can get a 3 foot brakeline for about $2.50 US, I have no idea where you'd get it in the UK.

Taps are kinda expensive, but they are worth it. I spent like $8 on my 1/4NPT, but it gets used enough that it's worth it.
Could you glue a female fitting to the pipe? That couldn't be more than $0.75 for that size fitting.

I'm weird, I know it, you don't need to tell me.

thats a cool gun. the barrel looks a bit ghetto.........i like the silencer
Pyrogeek, in my opinion, they're not, because you can do the same thing with a steel nipple of any size. No, I could not glue a female fitting on, because that would ruin it aesthetically and this pipe isn't even PVC, it's just a little bigger than 1" SDR 21.
LukeMC, 9/32" brakeline is the best you can get. From 50 feet with a 5/16" brakeline barrel, the spread with this gun is about a foot and a half. With 9/32," the spread is reduced to 6 inches. It's also a lot more powerful because there's almost no blowby.
ID of 9/32" brakeline: 6.03 mm
OD of BB: 5.93 mm
Spudthug, I could probably do most of the things you said, but no way would it be as small as a hand.
SoCalSiege, this gun was built from a Burp gun, which is this clear little gun thing that shoots Ping-Pong balls. I guess I had a different use in mind.....
XxtriviumxX, the barrel only looks ghetto because I didn't want to take another 30 minutes making a new vortex block because I drilled the exit hole a little low.

Guys, does a stainless steel tube, with a 6.06 inner dimension, work instead of a brakeline?
