Jep...I did it again!
Still needs to be refined lookswise, but I managed to pull it off.
An unregged mini-UZI running on a 12 gram.
For this I had to hack up "Deathray"and use just the pressure washer valve.
I reversed the trigger so the 12 gram can act like the handle.
Put a cover over that, while the 12 gram can still be changed out, leaving just the cover in place.( get that?)
I used a 1/4"QEv body, without the piston that is, as the vortex chamber.
I guess Takerlabs would call it a sweepchamber.
The intake is NOT coming in from the bottom, but the vortex chamber works better than anything I've tried before!
And it was ready made, just had to plug the bottom with a disc.
It has an actual airgun -rifled- .177 barrel, wich I, against my habit, sawed-off..
I fired it once and was pretty impressed ( out of 12 grams a.t.m.)
Eventhough it is close to freezing temperatures outside ( making the CO2 lose a lot of power) it managed to just about split a lead .177 bb when it hit a solid piece of brass.
It penetrates wood..hmm..
Not bad considering it is about the size of a real "Ingram"mini UZI.
Trust me...I know first hand. 8)
The QEV body holds a little more bb's than the 12 gram could spit out.
THe temperature could be a factor there.'
You guys should have quite a few questions so , just ask and you shall recieve...( no, you can't ask for the gun!)
On with the pics: Remember, this is just a prototype thing and I'll make it look like candy with some epoxy and a nice flat black paintjob later.
Edit:Finished picture below: ( still want to change the trigger guard, paint is still drying in the picture)

- A bit unclear, but you can just make out its a split lead .177 bb.
That means it's powerfull folks! - pnuzi.177split.JPG (19.22 KiB) Viewed 8331 times

- I used some old paint, so it needs to be redone, but you get the picture.

Well it is not exactly a beatuy, but looks like it has some promise. Could you take another pic of it with something for size reference? Maybe somewhere on your to-do list could be to make clips for it, consisting of a little pipe, with some sort of punctureable disk that just screws into the QEV or something like that.
I am rather confused as to how you used a QEV for a vortex chamber. Mind explaining that in more detail? Maybe a drawing or two?
edit: I forgot to say, FORKING AWESOME!

It's the size of an actual pistol, with some sticking out the back end.
I won;t be making clips.I could just wrap the required amount of bb's in paper and tear that open when I fill.Just like they did muzzle loading buckshot.
The bb's roll onto the bottom ( pilot port side) of the QEV.
The outport is right above the center. The bbs get sucked up and out the elbow above.'
It is something I found out over 5 years ago.
In a ballvalve cannon, I used a tee with a smaller diameter barrel on one side, almost the entire way in.This way I could load from the oposite side and close up that side with a cap.My first attempt at breech loading.
THe pressure came in from the bottom of that Tee.
One day I threw a couple of bb;s into the Tee and fired. They all came out.
They just followed the airstream.
For the Pnuzi I just turned the principle up 90 degrees.

.177 lead bb? do you mean steel? because I have heard of lead balls, but arent they expensive?
And how long would a 12 gram cartridge last? not very long I imagine...
Overall, it's cool, but a little pointless, lasts a couple seconds, and wastes a c02 when regged it would last longer, and give you plenty of power...

I'm Dutch. Over here .177 ( or 4.5 mm) lead bb's are common.
It's actually harder for me to get the steel ones.
You try and split a bb like that at 100 psi, with just over half a foot of barrel.
I see no reason to reg it, it would just mean more parts.
About it not being a beauty: I decided to post it right after testing it.
It's nowhere near finished.

I think you and I have a difference of opinion on what that actually means..plenty of power...

Yessir! With a little more body work, this could be mistaken for an UZI. Very nice (again). BTW, is this using your new valve, or is it just a vortex design like you had on the Deathray? I was a bit confused with reading the first post.
I suppose that is true, power is different thinks to different people, but to be fair, lead is very soft, and I feel pretty confident it could be done with 100 psi.
The real thing for me is, what are you going to do with one 5 second blast of bb's... I like guns with a real use, be it target shotting or dare I say small game hunting against the rules I know, but lets be honest...
I like a gun I can use all the time, and not keep using money on c02 powerlets...

I could only imagine what would happen to ________ if it were to be shot with a 5 second burst of lead BB's at 800+ psi

Um... Sputnick... Point of interest: Real guns, with real live ammo, full auto and all, almost never have clips larger than 30 rounds, and I am sure that they can empty them in under 5 seconds. They have real uses.
I can't think of a single situation in which you would ever hold the trigger down for 5 seconds at a time. It may sound like a short amount of time, but try counting it out. That is a long time to be firing. It is far more likely to have 10, .5second shots, which would actually be quite good. Besides, the shorter the bursts, the more time the CO2 has to warm back up, to keep the pressure up.

I suppose, but with REAL guns, you just pop out a clip, pop it back in, then cock n fire, real guns also fire very accurately over longer distances. Don't get me wrong, it's a sweet piece of work, but I wouldn't build it, because it's not practical for me.

Very nice as always, why not have a barrel extension disguised as a silencer though, moar barrel = MOAR POWER!
I'm currently working on something similar, based around this:
I'll be making an air chamber to give me a pneumatic option by attaching some 3/4" pipe to a used threaded CO2 capsule.
