It's been a loooong time coming for me to finally try this set up: http://www.spudfiles.com/how-to-databas ... 23626.html
However, now that I've finally bought the parts on Ebay it looks like what I have are BSPT, and don't fit well (and is not recommended with) the NPT fittings I have. I currently have what I thought were 1/8" NPT and 1/4" NPT slide valves and QEVs (yes, two sets) but if they are BSPT then any parts I buy at the store won't really work with this...
Any tips on what to do? I'm not 100% positive on if it is or isn't in fact BSPT, but I bought them off random Chinese vendors. They seem to work great but I haven't made any store runs for parts to really test them.
What I got:
http://www.ebay.com/itm/301097085130?_t ... EBIDX%3AIT
http://www.ebay.com/itm/121917572083?_t ... EBIDX%3AIT
And yeah, I noticed one QEV is 1/2" but I'm pretty sure it's dimensioned wrong, and they did the diameter and not what the classification size actually is (.540" is considered 1/4" pipe size http://www.fairburyfastener.com/xdims_pipe_threads.htm)
Bought BSPT fittings...and I live in USA?

mmm, may be a tight fit if you mix them.
Good price on the QEV's though.

I am sure you can source Bsp to NPT adapters, I live in UK so was in the opposite situation to you, I had to get NPT to BSP adapters for the Humpries QEV I am using, just gooogle it and sure you will be able to find some easily.
As fir Chinese ebay QEVs I once purchased a QEV described as either 1/2" or 3/4", it was a black box with gold colored fitting very similar to yours and the actual hole in the gold part was neither 3/4 or 1/2 inch, it was much smaller.

I think the QEV's you bought are BSP threaded, the G is another way to write this. ( http://www.newmantools.com/taps/bsp.htm )
This means that they are parallel and not tapered like the BSPT and NPT fittings. It might work but i can't give any guarantees about safety. Also the 'P' and 'A' port are the measurements given in the description of the product. I believe most exhaust ports on that type of QEV's are standard 3/8'', by that i mean port 'R'.

A quick search on McMaster Carr yielded BSP pipe fittings as well as pipe nipples with BSP on one end and NPT on the other... Sounds like exactly what you need!

Thanks for the replies guys, I've been busy helping a friend prepare for Dragoncon and forgot I posted this topic. My smaller slide valve came in the mail, and just as I predicted, it fits into the smaller QEV perfectly even though their sizings are completely different on those store pages. Careful buying stuff from China haha.
