Pistonsss
Im gonna make a barrel sealing piston gun, vent it with a blowgun.
THe piston will only be 40mm so that would be okay for venting.
My question is, what do i do with the T? do i put 40mm pvc in it so the piston has a smooth surface with no lumps in it?
what about the third socket? that would be covered from the pipe.
thanks

One socket is the barrel/outlet, the opposite socket is the pilot (hook another valve to this part), the third socket is connected to your tank/chamber.
Your piston must seal against the barrel port if it is a barrel sealer.

I suggest you learn your piston valves a bit better before starting out.Mr.Russ wrote:Im gonna make a barrel sealing piston gun, vent it with a blowgun.

You could, but it could jam up after awhile, do you have Lynx over there? My can is actually from some foot spray stuff, I figured it fit slightly better then a Lynx can.
Lynx is a pretty good fit, it slides so well it builds up pressure and when you let it go, it flys out the pipe...Good times

i wouldnt have a clue what the pressure rating is, bought it at bunnings they just said it was pressure pipe.
after i think about it its not that much of a difference. heres the can pushed completely to one side of the pipe
also - about the sealing face. do you know if the material underneath mouse pads are alright? if they seal? someone on here said they used that.

The mouse pads can be to porus, in other words, to foamy, they can leak air into the barrel. Just go to bunnings and pick up a rubber gasket(usually black or orange) and get the thickets one you can find.
Check the pipe, it should have PNXX on it, the XX is where a number will be, like mine is PN12, PN12 = Pressure Number 12 BAR, which is around 175psi.
