My question is, How many psi can a 2liter bottle hold?
I have a bike Tire valve on a 2liter bottle, then the 2liter has a barrel on it.
Air Cannon Diagram:
--{000}**oooooooooo
-- = Tire Valve.
{000} = Chamber
** = Hose Valve thingy.
oooooooooo = Barrel

I would feel safe at 100 psi, most bottles can hold more than this however there is a chance that it might be a *dud* bottle.
Please be careful with your "chamber" i.e. no blowing thyself up.

[sarcasm]
Where F = final PSI in bottle before it goes boom
And T = Max PSI bottle can hold
F-1 = T
[/sarcasm]
Soda bottles are only meant to hold enough PSI safely for the CO2 in them, which is just a few psi, they have no pressure rating that we know of, but people have used them up to 80psi before.

lol, yeah.
I watched mythbusters and they said a certain psi but I forgot what it was.
Also, it is a 1 inch barrel. Any ideas for ammo?
P.S.
To everyone who doesnt remember me.
Its not my first cannon.

I have seen test videos of people taking 2L soda bottles to 150PSI, but the chamber was all deformed, so it didn't look like a smart/safe thing to do.
If I were you, then I would invest a little more than $1 on a cannon to ensure you won't go deaf when (not if) the chamber decides to pop.

Yah know... it would be fun to have a "who can make the cheapest yet still safe cannon" contest. Unless it's already been done.

Most likely, but if the bottle has a defect you could be screwed.
Some kid in NZ had a coke bottle explode on him at normal pressures (meaning he just bought the drink and it went boom) and he was showered with plastic bits and had to go to ER to get them removed.
