How do you seal a 4" male/femals adapter?

channel locks are a brand name for a type of adjustable pliers, if you want to see what they look like just google image 'channel locks' and it has a whole bunch of pictures for them. they're a staple for most plumbers.

If you get a strap wrench like they use to hold down hydraulic cylinders when disassembling to hold the chamber you can use your huge wrench as you call it to tighten your fitting

They actually make pipe dope for pvc. You just have to look. It will specifically say on the package if it will crack pvc or not. PFTE paste usually can be used on pvc but be sure to check the packaging. Use a double wide role of pfte tape, they have them at plumbing supply stores.

yeah i saw pvc thread dope, but its 6$ a can, kinda pricy

double wide?? woa, i gotta check that out.

Ok, if you think $6 a can is pricey this hobby may take a turn for the worst. Tool, fittings, they all cost a lot
