Combustion takes place -> cardboard rips -> cardboard is set on fire -> burning cardboard gets into your eye!
But would that kill you? You would just be blind.

Trying to figure out how to make a SCUBA first stage regulator work for portable charging station. If only that pesky job thing didn't keep eating up all my time...

OK then maybe this kills you:
Combustion takes place -> cardboard rips -> cardboard is set on fire -> burning cardboard gets into your eye -> you panic and run around -> you fall badly breaking your neck
better?

Busters beware. I think they're jealous because you did something cooler than they did. Sweet little gun dude. Sorry though, I don't think it's ghetto at all. I think a ghetto gun has more to do with lack of built in safety and common sense than your level of boredom. This just isn't the gun thats going to kill you. Wear safety glasses just the same. Nice job dude.

I noticed you said you had a chamber fan. I was wondering if you could get a picture or explain it a little more because im planning on making my third cannon a combustion with a chamber fan.
Damage pics anyone? :violent3:

Where did you get that cardboard tube for the chamber? Im thinking of building one like this myself. Do you think an oatmeal box would work?

That won't kill you...but when it burns into your eye and you try to run inside (instead you run into the street) and are struck by a truck-well thats another story
Great job, pretty funny when I first seen it.

Foothead: The tube I used was from an industrial-sized roll of plastic wrap, and it is nearly 1/2" thick.
You can probably go to a fabric or carpet store and ask if they have any tubes they're gonna throw out, I'm sure they won't mind giving you one.
Thank you octane89

You know, this cannon first made me think, well you could make it out of those cardboard tubes for launching fireworks
then i thought about the fiberglass ones. I wonder how good one of those would be?

I don't think carboard would catch fire quick enough in that scenario. I like it a lot, now where did I put that old tube I got with that carpet?

That is the coolest thing I've ever seen done with paper!!!
I made a rocket in shop class out of rolled up gum tape, that stuff can get thick as you roll it and hold a lot of pressure.
It was the brown stuff that you wet the sticky side with water and roll it around a dowel.Think it was called gum tape?
Hope you sprayed some sealer on it so it won't get soggy if it rains.
Edit:I know this is an old thread or whatever but I just noticed it.
I like the name too. The Hobo Blaster
