My New Advanced Combustion

[hi]

This is my new advanced combustion.

chamber- 3''x24'' ABS

barrel- 1.5''x70''

ignition- BBQ ignitor

C:B- well, its a little off, but thats ok... hey, the more the marryier

chamber fan- 40mm brushless computer fan powered by two 9v batteries wired in series providing 18 volts.

this is what ive been up to lately. i saw the pipe on sale at home depot, so i bought it and two weeks later i had this cannon. it works, and it works well.

originally i was going to use a 500k stun gun for ignition, but that didn't work very well. (the stun gun and I don't seem to like each other very well) so i dug up my old BBQ and it works fine.

What did it cost you to set up the gas metering? And whens the video's getten here?

the gas meter was a total of around $20 or so, i already has the torch head and one ball valve and the pressure gauge. it works very well, havent had a miss fire yet. (note the word yet)

i was planning to paint it, and will in the near future, i just dont have any on hand and spent all my money on the gun it self. it works though and it impressive.

i don't have a video camera, so if i get a video it wont be for a while (if ever, depending on how nice my friends are)

how is it ghetto? i know its not exactly clean or strait, but i wouldn't call it ghetto... trust me, it looks better in real life.

also what is your main ammo. i assume potatoes because you hace a breech cutter

like i said, it will look much better when i paint it.

main ammo so far is burst disks and potatoes. i just finished it today and have only taken a few shots. tomorrow when the sun (hopefully) comes up ill find more stuff to shoot.

Nice effort Hi, when you get a chance shoot a can full of water with something pointy and hard, oh and as said a paint job would do wonders!

i was just being stupid, if the sun doesnt come up then there is obviously something very very wrong...

when i get an extra $5 ill get some paint, probably black.

do hardware stores usually carry flat black spray paint for plastics? if not where do i get some?

no I've shot it, i used the calculator on lakte and determined it took exactly 46 psi in my meter to make an ideal mix. that think really does work, it fired the very first shot...

before on other cannons it took hours to get the mix right, but with that calculator it took minutes of guess and check.
