Aww, he cheats. I have about 15 yards of open range behind my house, then there's the fence. I usually take my cannon to Draper, but I'm not sure about where I'm gonna launch my trebuchet.clide wrote:My backyard. I have about half a mile of empty land behind my house.

Yes, and expensive. I would actually move to America for the sole reason of cheap PVC
You should've seen me in the Las Vegas Home Depot when I saw that pressure fittings were infact under $1, like you guys said. I just regret not getting more fittings then I did

Nice. I regret living in the burbs. I can't shoot here, gotta drive about half an hour to do it. And that's my potato gun, it doesn't draw attention at the lake. A 16 foot trebuchet firing a 10 pound object an estimated distance of about 500 feet, just might get some unwanted attention from park authorities. And jet-skiers.

I live in the 'burbs as well, but seeing as 90% of NZ live within 30minutes of the beach, i'm never too far from the biggest shooting range in the world.
With my golfball gun I can actually shoot a golfball into the ocean from my house

OK, that's pretty awesome. From my house, I could hit one of two things. More houses, or the Air Force base, probably not a good idea.MrCrowley wrote:With my golfball gun I can actually shoot a golfball into the ocean from my house

Air force base! Now that's awesome.
I've never seen so much military when I was in America, there were like 50 army trucks on the highway, we don't even have tanks or fighter jets, we tried to sell them, no one wanted them so they got turned into scrap.
But I guess you guys are used to it.

Well you just happened to see a convoy. I live next to the base and I don't see them that much. Th eAFB I live by hosts the AWACS planes and I don't get to see many of the cool fighters unless there's an air show going on. I know the soccer club I used to be at was right on the flight path of the things. you could always tell the people who weren't from around here, they actually noticed the jets flying 300 feet overhead.

I am from the east coast of N.S.W
This is where i used to fire my large metal Combustion. Until the neighbours got all nancy about it, what am i gunna hit? The train lines you can see are about 1.5 miles away. Now i have to thrust my way through the bush to fire my toys. What, it is thick bush! That and my toys are not small!

America, the greatest gangster of all time. With 200 million odd foot soldiers at it's whim and call.

Oh god, don't let JSR read thatNovacastrian wrote: Now i have to go bush to fire my toys.
You have 1.5 miles of open land, who cares what they think, they're wrong
The day you can shoot an object 1.5miles is the day you listen to them and 'go to the bush to fire your toys'
Serisouly though, I doubt they will call the cops, if so just hide your guns and say 'what would be the problem officer?' in a nice, friendly, not-so-suspicious tone.

WOW i'm the only one from IDAHO. we have the best potatos. lol just kiding. there is nothing but land out here which is ideal for shooting potatos that you can pull right out of the ground at sertain times of the year. jk jk i would get in a lot of trouble for doing that although if it was dark... lol i still wouldn't do it
