All the concept diagrams seem to be incompatible with the layout in the P90 unless its the one on the right turned so the mag is at the top and the air inlet is from one side somehow..?
The P90 uses a D Mag style The air on ours isnt directly from the side but it uses the same concept.

Im actually gonna make the clip for the FAMAS to look like a box mag but that just shows the straight pipe clip AKA the B-style Mag.

The mags work by pushing the bbs down a straight 3/4 pvc pipe and around an elbow straight down into the vortex cap. They are air tight and they seal very well... If you watch the video you will notice it clicks into place, thats because we used the original magazine lock that the p90 has and cut a little notch in the back of the elbow.

The original base model was this really crappy Well P90 that costs $20 - $30 online. With my vortex cap idea you can incorperate an Inline into almost any cheap Spring or AEG airsoft gun. A good place to get cheap spring airsoft guns is here:

Just make sure to choose $0 - $50 and Price ascending.

Now that design is absolute genius.

I'm amused when you say the accuracy is designed for CQB - that rather sounds like: "It fires everywhere so we're more likely to hit."
Does that thing kinda look like a big cat to you?

Is this another spray painting bb gun>vortex, a cloud or something like it? I am really curious if there are any special internals in it. Serious that movie is so damn american: "it has the same tolerances as the AK47", "look at the balance and touch of the gun" lol. A bit overdone sometimes. Btw whats up with the huge picture in the forum? (plz dont be offended btw)

Theres a little tab on the ring pull you can see which fits in a slot at the end of the mag and prevents BB's from going through til removed.

@ ragnarok ya thats pretty much what it means. because of the barrel length it really is hard to get a decent grouping but using bursts it can be fairly accurate. The real test will occur this summer when we take it out and use it in a game.

More or less what the original plan was, is to create a weapon that I could use as a side arm for my M14 AEG or take it as my main CQB weapon. It can also serve as an extra if someone doesnt havea gun or if a gun breaks down midmatch.

@ Ant no worries, we know neither of us look that great on camera and we did most of the filming at 3am so we were a little out of it any way.

Heheh,

Your screen presence is fine, but you guys need to invest in some more lightbulbs for the room you did the talkthrough of the gun :P

I think what Ant actually meant was the HUGE "thumbnail" of the thread when you look at the BBMG/Strafer Showcase section:

It seems to happen every now and again

Thank you, You are welcome to use the vortex cap idea aslong as you call it a vortex cap and not block :D sorry for the lack of internal pics, Im making it a mission today to find them.

Well i know it sounds corny but its actually true... the gun holds very loose tolerances. You could stick this gun in sand, water, mud, swamp guck, you name it and it would probably work.

That is the beauty of an AK.
I have one, those little buggers are way loose. An AK is one of those guns that you can grab most any piece of random sheet metal and bend a receiver for.The gun was made to survive.I give any gun that can be compared to an AK an A++. Comparing PVC to steel is a bit of an extreme comparison.None the less loose in an automatic or semi-automatic is a good thing.

I removed your preview picture because of it's size.

You're going to have to edit your original post, and where you post the link, you should see some writing under it saying to go to this link, where it will resize it for you.

Go to the link, browse for the picture on your computer, upload it, and it will resize it for you. Grab the URL it gives you for the resized picture and paste it in the URL box where you did before. Now it should be a smaller size like everyone elses.

@ goat Comming from you I can take that as a huge compliment. The awsome thing is if we needed to do field repais on this gun instead of sheet metal we could probably pick up any old piece of PVC and use that as a new barrel or clip.

by the way i fell in love with your last 2'' break action and have offically decided to try and make some thing like it on a smaller scale. possibly with shell ejection and multiple types of reloadable shells. at the moment im thinking 3/4 inch barrel and sprinkler valve powered by co2. any tips?
