ok, if i wanted everyone to rank on me i would have said so, but i posted this topic to show you my cannon. Now please say a comment or question about the cannon and not dissing me, or just don't post anything at all. Maybe last time I ever post a cannon...

We're not trying to insult you, we're just genuinely worried about some potentially very dangerous misconceptions you have...

Ok, I'll PM sometime tomorrow if I remember... but not now, it's silly o'clock in the morning here, and I already have two other posts to finish.

good job sthorne.. even if you kill yourself from unrated parts.. you ment well and had fun doing it.. hell I have an at4 that looks awesome.. but i cant even get the trigitron to work.. so it doesnt even shoot..

So what I am trying to say is...
you like it.. your friends (real ones) not internet ones like it..

and thats all matters..
just people worry about you.. even if they have never met you.

I personally think its a great gun.. however about my gun? i think that it will work.. but if it doesnt and explodes.. with it being sholder fired.. ill probably be decapitated. lol

Kostaki if you're asking where to get Nsf-pw (pressure rated) parts there is always http://www.mcmaster.com which sells Nsf-61 parts that are pressure rated. First go through your phone book to see if you have any plumbing stores near you and call them.

I've got to wonder how safe it is for you to be playing with something that you have little to no understanding of, especially when it's made of such dubious materials.
I agree. I'll be blunt here; your cannon is unsafe. Your/spudfarm's justification of "Well, I'm not shooting anything that's a tight fit" is a pretty damn weak excuse buddy. Like Ragnarok said, the issue is not the glued joints, but the pipe/fittings themselves. They are the weakest link in the chain in your case. It's a cool design, but like DYI said, I question your safety practices when you obviously don't know the details of what you're working with, while using unsafe materials to boot. And Spudfarm is wron as well if he's saying that it's all good because the projectiles are aloose fit. BULLSHIT! They are still going to cause chamber pressures well into the unsafe range. DR had a Pressure Rated barrel on one of his cannons explode while firing a grocery bag blank. You on the other hand are firing live rounds with a DWV chamber. You tell me which one is more likely to fail. Do yourself a favor and do somemore homework.

Wow... You sound like my mom (that is spudgun educated). I don't know if you read the previous posts or not, but we already discussed this issue. Why are you being so intrusive? Besides, I went back and bought some pressure rated pvc and sleeved the cannon with it. If you would read the original post, you would know that.

cool. if you do, be sure to use pressure rated pvc. otherwise everyone will be on your ass about it like white on rice.
