lol eastern europe rulezzzz is latvian similar to russian or ukrainian ?
it's just a suggestion but you should consider switching to pneuamtics and metal - much easier to get in europe than PVC and much better than PVC as far as safty, pressures and coolness is concerned
try using steel pipes and steel fittings (they are often called malleable iron fittings here on spudfiles but I suppose they are simply called galvanised steel fittings in latvia)
here is a picture with some galvanized fittings but I am sure you are already familiar with them http://www.jagol.com/images/sell/Z/P/p/ ... rzsOHZ.jpg

I dont think that Ukrainian is similar to latvian but idk about russian. I know bec im ukrainian
But i agree with poland here spud you should go with metal because of its reliability and ease of finding.
Dzhinkyea if you can try to understand that, its hard to write using english

@LikimysCrotchus5 lol you used english spelling convention which represents english phonemes in order to imitate polish... there are lots of such things my favourite one is (don't take it personally, it is just an example )' tea who you yeah bunny !!'
kudos if you can understand that
yeah I think switching to steel is the best thing you can do grizzli - steel pipes and fittings are much easier to get and cheaper than PVC... acctually when I wrote my first post I didn't notice your post about your cannon failure... you had your first lesson
try building a basic steel pneumatic. you can use a ball valve for your first gun because it easier to build.

Well not exactly, just not sure what bunny means. I wouldnt be able to read it in polish bec i only know the ukrainian alphabet. But if my mom saw that, im sure she could understand it. She knows ukrainian and polish
Go Eastern Europe!!!!
But not to get off topic, and instead of a ball valve, find a QEV which will work much better than a ball valve and all you have to do is screw it on in the right spots.

I'm ignorant of PVC in that part of the world, but that barrel doesn't look anything like the pressure rated sched 40 stuff we use routinely in the US, particularly in wall thickness...way thin. Cold weather didn't help you any either.
I agree with Poland, if you can't get better quailty PVC, build out of metal.

the good thing about steel threaded fittings and pipes is the fact that he can start with a BV and then switch to a QEV using the same gun and parts - besides he would need a ball valve to pilot QEV
@LikimysCrotchus5... 'bunny' goes toghether with 'yeah' to form one word - It is an adjective created from a verb that describes an action that has to be taken in order to reproduce AFAIK it sounds more like 'yob' in russian (I assume it is similar in ukrainian)

1. Latvia is nothing like Ukraine! Similar to Russia?- maybe but that's only because we was the part of russia in ww2(war) and we are neighbors but we get out so nothing common - end of history !
2. The metal fittings are cheaper than PVC ? - I dont thin so ! however I have lot of them in workshop but cheaper - no way !
3. i think the PVC definitely is not pressure rated because we use them for sewerage net !
4. I have some ideas about pneumatic but this is my combustion gun... i want to upgrade it not throw away...
5. can someone PM some good ideas about pneumatic guns from those metal fittings....

1. heh I see that nobody likes russia in our region
2. & 3. metal is cheaper than pressure rated PVC. I think you already know that using non pressure rated PVC is asking for troubles despite the fact that some people say its ok for combustion launchers...
steel pipes and fittings are really cheap becasue you can use the same parts to build several guns or to upgrade them
4 & 5 the simplest design can be build using two pipes, one ball valve and a quick connect fitting (male and female) or a car tire valve. obviously you need some pump or compressor but for the very begining a foot pump would suffice
I'll PM you today. I've to go now.
