Nice damage there to that toilet, Looks like my toilet after I have to many beans.
ITWOST, I was testing the new capacitor charger made with a microwave oven transformer for a a project I'm working on . Well I held an arc too long and melted the wire, which fell onto my table as a glowing, molten blob and begun to dance towards me. I got back but it landed on the floor and exploded, burning the wood floor and my leg with the splatter.
So the good news is that it works, but the bad news is that I must hide the damage to the floor before my parents see it.

Thats all "lol" untill it's your leg getting replaced!Blitz wrote:Floors can be replaced, how's your leg? (Well, I suppose legs can be replaced too. lol)
Soooooooo, In the world of spuds today, Hopefully I was able to show/teach readers (Blitz) a little something about thinking about what your going to say before you say it.
Unless someone wants to correct me, my understanding is that jrrdw is in a wheelchair.Blitz wrote:Not really, no, what's there to think about?
EDIT: Mixed up some d's and r's in jrrdw.

well, today i started experimenting with basic Burst Disk Valves in preperation for my hybrid......
mother of god why did i not know these were invented before..... the noise a 2 inch one of these things makes, even at 150 PSI, is mind boggling.
i actually heard someone scream 'WHAT THE F*** IS THAT!!!!" when i fired it the third time. i think my hybrid might have to be silenced.......... or i need to find a place to set it off where people wont be bothered by it. my neighbors are tolerant but if they cant take that i dunno.....
i also made myself a setup that lets me go and use softchrono without having to deal with annoying wires. ill post it when i finally get a proper michrophone.

and the fact it's not nice to make fun/laugh at people's disabilties.
At 16 I never thought in a million years I would end up in a wheelchair for the rest of my life, 08/24/1983 @ 11:45PM my life changed forever in a split second. Now I know, maby it's deserved because of that time I laughed.

I have no intention of being under a spotlight for such a matter, so I will keep this as short as possible.
So Brian (and jrrdw for that matter), are you saying I am disrespectful? If there was such a problem with three letters I added to my comment which would seem totally fine otherwise, I don't know what to say; these kinds of comments are usually meant to be taken lightly.
If there are any other problems with this, I suggest it be directed towards me as a PM for the sake of this thread. There shouldn't be anything else to discuss, but I'm pretty open-minded and I I like this board, and everyone here, and if the situation was reversed I feel it'd be greatly appreciated if I offered to discuss privately about it as well.
FWIW, I have had my fair share of incidents, one of which also had life-changing effects, so please do not implicate that I am disrepectful. That does not change anything nor is it really relevant, but figured it was a fact you may have found interesting nonetheless.

Yes, it was a disrespectful comment. I don't think you meant to be. My post was designed to make you think about what your saying before you say it, that way it can be worded respectfully instead of "lol" about loosing a limb.Blitz wrote:I have no intention of being under a spotlight for such a matter, so I will keep this as short as possible.

What time you ask? I stated it plainly in my post, try slowing down when you read you wont miss as much.
What does "FWIW" stand for?
Respect is all ways relevant when talking with others, even more so on public forums.
P.S. Don't call out the moderators on something like this anymore! I'll edit your post to say "I'm to stupid to keep my big mouth shut" understand.
Well, there seems to be quite a bit of friction brewing here.
Now, I know I'm not the moderator here, but I would suggest things would go better if we didn't get into such arguments.
People make mistakes, and sometimes say things that with hindsight, they wouldn't have said. Let's leave it be now.
Anyway:
FWIW = For what it's worth.

Yes, "People make mistakes, and sometimes say things that with hindsight, they wouldn't have said. Let's leave it be now." very true.
Thats why I said "Yes, it was a disrespectful comment. I don't think you meant to be. My post was designed to make you think about what your saying before you say it, that way it can be worded respectfully instead of "lol" about loosing a limb."
Remember we don't argue, we discuss.
Blitz, if you wish to dicuss this futher, you may PM me about it, that will be fine.
In the world of spuds today -- I got a really nice PM from spudfarm about the classified.

I revamped my piston beasty so it has a shorter barrel and made the inside of the pipe smoother so the piston slides better. I completely screwed up the reduced tee when de-soldering the joint though so I had to cobble together another one using a 22mm equal tee and a 22mm - 15mm reducer. It's much more powerful with that sodding breech loaded gone.
