They are aren't they?
About the competition..I'm probably too early...but I couldn't wait...
I really don't want to pay a fee to enter...I could better use that money to buy some stuff, since I probably wouldn't win..
I'd sell this one for...ehmm...say 150 euro's.
No way of getting it out the country though hahaha..
I can still rebuild it into a pump action Jack...I just don;t know if it is worth the extra effort.
I've left the guide for the falling block just in case.
Lever action would look terrible, since the lever would have to be connected to the block from the outside and would have to pivot too far forward.
Also..the shots do go down in power and pump action means more places to leak..

Yet another of those BTB high pressure toys
Very nice!
Now all we are waiting for is a video showing off that power...

Now that you're achieved a working hammer mechanism, it shouldn't be too hard to have a handle around the chamber conneted to a rod that's in turn connected to a barrel sleeve, you could easily end up with something like the serbu super shorty

I want it!
Cocking the hammer like that is no problem.
Getting the fallingblock to somewhat seal yet function correctly is the harder part.
but damn...I like that shorty

There was an old one like it called an "AOW" for (beats) any other weapon.jackssmirkingrevenge wrote:Now that you're achieved a working hammer mechanism, it shouldn't be too hard to have a handle around the chamber conneted to a rod that's in turn connected to a barrel sleeve, you could easily end up with something like the serbu super shorty
That looks like it only hold three because it's so short but with the right shells that's more lead than a smg sprays anyway.
When I looked at the link I found this http://es.youtube.com/watch?v=KF_wwcOcv ... re=related
I think it's airsoft burst disk. But it would be cool if it was real. 8)

So it leaks at the falling block?
I somewhat expected that, you need to seal between two flat surfaces. Besides from squeezing it, there is not much you can do to get it seal.
Maybe apply an o-ring in a weird way: drill out a circle groove, drop some glue in, put o-ring in. Groove should be a little less deep as the o-ring's thickness.

That's close to a sawn-off M79 grenade launcher (which would look something like this) that uses preloaded cartridges with multiple barrels to give a large shotgun effect, some pictures of how they work can be found here - it's practically a piston valve, but mechanically retained as opposed to the pneumatic mechanisms we normally use.THUNDERLORD wrote:When I looked at the link I found this http://es.youtube.com/watch?v=KF_wwcOcv ... re=related

Brian, how about boring out the breech slightly to accept a cartridge, then add a spring loaded extractor than engages a lip at the bottom of the cart? Simpler to make than pump action and the visual effect is just as cool plus the fact that the extractor is pushing the cart against the block will help with sealing too.

Okay...So you guys got me into a lot of trouble...me being a crowd pleaser and all...
I went ahead and fitted the gun with a working `falling/block`
Made the whole assembly look smooth with bodyfiller.Leakage is minimal.
I need to get the right return spring for the block.
Just don't have the pump handle working yet...
Still got a lot of work to do.
I have noticed it's becoming a little too real lookin'.
I'm planning on spraying certain parts bright orange so it doesn't freak people out....

Right...
Not really a contribution to the forum is it?
Anyway, this gun is dissasembled, but not dead.
I'm working on a similar design, fed by a 12 gram CO2 cartridge.
