Ghostbuster Style Water Gun

Heres my simple but powerful water gun!


Here it is in a backpack, perfect for concealing it.


The entire water gun.


This is where the water is let through to a tiny hole in the very end.

Usually operates between 60-110 psi and supplies enough water for about 2-3 minutes of continuous spray.

I built most of this out of left overs from a previous sprinkler installation in my front yard so it was very cheap to make.

Specs:
2-liter soda bottle (will probably upgrade to 3-liter)
Operating Pressure: 60-110 psi
Built from 1/2 hose and 1/2 PVC parts
Ball valve operated

now all you need is to make the thing fit in your pocket and have a hose running up a sweatshirt or something.......

i like it though. reminds me of what i used to make when i was like 8 when i wanted a new supersoaker.

2 questions ?
... how far have u been able to "shot" the water out ??
and after all the water is used but is it hard to fill it up again, like with it leaking ???

Lol just kidding but it can put holes in dirt at 60 psi ( have not tested higher because i glued it that morning)

But Stifler69, i can probably shoot it 20-30 feet max at 60 psi, and i do have trouble filling it back up but not because it leaks but that water can only go so fast into a 1/2 pipe.

Pretty nifty, you should have an external way to fill the bottle up with water while it's in your bag and have the schrader poke through the bag somewhere as well.

I wish i could have the shrader poking through the bag but i would have to cut a hole and i do not want to do that. Also, How do you think i should fill it up externally? Like drill a hole in the top of bottle or something?

Yeah you could do, but it would have to be in similar fashion to a pop in schrader to stop leaks.

why not just use a ball valve????

I meant the seal with the bottom of the bottle, you'll need something sturdy and air tight. A ball valve probably could get ripped off too easily. That's why a larger version of a pop in schrader, without the schrader would work well because it's flexible.

Well i guess where the T is i could have replaced it with a Cross piece (the ones with 4 ends) and put ball valve like VH_man said in it

You would have to turn the bag upside down to fill it up but yeah it could work.
