would this be a decent idea. It has been really humid here lately. i hate when they get muchy and burst in the barrel. i understand that dry uncooked rice absorbs moisture. think it would do anything?

That's a good idea, I know you can use rice to get the water out of a cell phone if you drop it in a pool or something, so it would probably work to keep paintballs dry.
It's hard to soar with eagles when you're working with turkeys.

Also you could try those "Silica gel, (Do Not eat)" packs that come in shoe boxes.
Recently, I was unpacking some pipes and had two sets in different boxes.
One was rusted the other not at all. Then I noticed that I had put like ten of those packs from shoe boxes in the one!
Now I will save all those I get from now on.

Instead of silica gel, you could also use NaOH (drain unclogger). Its also very hygroscopic (absorbs water out of the air), only downside is that its a strong base when its in water.
Hum.
I think it's safer to stick to something which won't try to melt you.

Damp flour = mould or maybe a kind of dough.
That will only happen when you throw water on it. And for an explosion, you'd better use a stronger one, like cesium.vovka351 wrote:oo store it in potassium.
At least you'll know when the water got in *cough*explode*cough*
Elemental sodium could also do the job for keeping it dry I suppose.
