Does any one know of an inexspensive way to take stump remover and make it into a much purer form of potassium nitrate. Im building some rocket motors and do not know of a cheap way to try and purify the stuff. It is usually coated with chemicals (of which kind I do not know) and is difficult to get off. Please Help.

If you want rocket grade then your going to have to buy rocket-grade.
The best stump-remover KNO3 you'll find will be 99% KNO3, but your not goin to get better in a stump remover.

They are pure enough as-is. It's not worth the effort te get the last couple seconds (measure of specific inpulse, not burn time) out of a rocket candy engein... just make it bigger or get a better nozzle.

ok nevermind the brand that I was using had some kind of thick coating of something, not to shure what, but it was quite a bit and would gratly effect the the preformance, and it doesn't come off(Thats what I was trying to talk about), however I was able to find another brand that doesn't have that so Im good.
Ill have to try that coffe grinder idea.
