To add another thing to my list; Audacity.
You guys SERIOUSLY need to learn to GoldWave. It is FAR superior to Audacity. It's only an evaluation version that's available for free, but you can get around that....

Old people who hate kids for everything I mean the water rocket had a foam nosecone! It landed on his roof very softly and he said that he thought it came through his roof when he was reading the paper. and if there was any dammage he would sue my parents. What a tard I bet it hit his roof like a footstep.
Oh and people who exsplain everything to me like I know nothing sometimes I know more on the subject than the person exsplaining.
Doing school work that I already know like sight.
Being forsed to do it because ''Some'' people in the class don't understand.
Teachers who think they are always right when a bunch of times I am.
Teachers who over react and are over pretective. one teacher said to me ''what would happen if you got hurt going on that icy hill?, There would be a big lawsuit on the schoolboard!'' not really caring what happened to me but if I got hurt That would be evolution in action
My principal this year sucked crap sorry but she did.
My sister.
Feeding my cat when it is my sisters turn to do so.
My sister.

You can tell how awesome a cannon is by the pressure used.

It happens. It's known as RAS syndrome.dark2023 wrote:I hate people who use the last word off and abbreviation, it dosent make sense

RAS stands for Redunant Acryonym Syndrome. Whoever came up with it has a funny sense of humour.
In that case, the doubling is actually it's correct name.
One of the examples where people don't realise it's an example is SCUBA - Self Contained Underwater Breathing Apparatus, so adding the word "Apparatus" or "Equipment" is doubling, but SCUBA has essentially entered the language as a word in it's own right.
Mind you, not everyone realises the word "Laser" is an acronym either.
I don't particularly understand it when it's pronounced as an acronym (but it may be understood when it's pronounced as a word like "PIN number"), but you can hardly correct every instance of it, so fussing is moot.
While we're at these pedantics, ADD is strictly an outdated term. It's more properly known as ADHD, and in that case, less people add an extra "disorder" after it.
Does that thing kinda look like a big cat to you?

Whats an acronym? whilst we are at it, a.d.d. is always doing drugs, a.d.h.d. is always doing hard drugs- for the record.
P.S. What DOES laser mean?

Umm... assuming you're being serious, an acronym is making a word out of the first (and sometimes extra letters) of a phrase - sometimes conjoining words are omitted though.CasinoVanart wrote:Whats an acronym?
PIN is the acronym of "Personal Identification Number"
Light Amplification by Stimulated Emission of RadiationP.S. What DOES laser mean?
That's why when someone spells it Lazer, they should be beaten - the only exception is when it's in the phrase "Oh hai, I upgraded mah lazor!!!!" and when a cat is involved.

I hate threads that for some reason I need to read all 84 goddamn pages of before I post something important and then realize what I had to say was irrelevant
Oh, like, you post only to find out that the question had been answered a few times? I hate that!
Especially when there's a thread like "where do I get a sprinkler valve" and there is at least a page or two of answers that all say home depot, sprinkler section etc. And people keep posting the same thing.ammosmoke wrote:Oh, like, you post only to find out that the question had been answered a few times? Getting the tip of my middle finger caught between a falling (fell about 5") four jaw chuck and the lathe bed.
The chuck survived without a scratch. Not so my finger.
F'n hurts!

I can imagine. How big is the chuck?
I cutting some plate out at work and had some slag drop through a hole in my pants into my boot. A little different, but pain is pain

Luckily ( ), it was only a 6" chuck. 30-35 pounds.
The finger tip is swollen pretty good and turning a "lovely" shade of purple.
As to the slag...How many four letter words did YOU use?
I lost count. Bet you did too.
