well of course sharp stuff will break a soda bottle, but you'll almost never find a natural rock sharp and pointy enough, a soda bottle could do the same feats (with water or without), and Nalgenes usually crack when they break example no name inflated one and shattered it at about 80psi, compare that to a soda bottle which can safely be pressurized and used at 100psi I can only imagine how high their breaking pressure is

I heard pop bottles fail at 120 but I may be wrong or wait is it 180? mmmmmmmm anybody want to test that?
You can tell how awesome a cannon is by the pressure used.

Oh, to add to my list.
I am one of those people that you might consider "emo" just FYI, migh help you understand my post just a tad bit better.
I hate people who think that "emo" people are things that hate life and cut themselves and listen to heavy metal. I hate people who think that if you listen to Slipknot, that you are automatically considered "emo". The reason I want to bring up the "emo" subject again is because I would like to try and persuade some of the "emo" haters not to be so condescending. From my point of view and from talking to my other "emo" friends, we are not at all what most of you would consider the "emo" stereotype. In fact, most of us are almost the exact opposite. Well of course we listen to rock, guess why? Because nobody in their right mind wants to listen to people sing about drugs and shooting people and rape and sex (well....maybe not that) but you get my point. BTW did anybody know that there was such a thing as hardcore country? NONE of my friends cut...NONE OF THEM. As a matter of fact, we hang out almost everyday. All I know is that I love the way that I live, and I wouldn't trade anything in the world for it. I just wanted to change the "emo" haters' perspective of things before they become prejudice. And the reason I was quoting "emo" is because I believe that emo refers to the type of music known as, emotional rock or emocore. Emo is a type of music and should not be mistaken for a stereotype. If you would like to know more, look at this page and PLEASE reconsider your thoughts about "emo" people.

I just wanted to point out that people are over prejudice when it comes to things that they are ignorant about. Such as the "emo" clique. Over the past few days surfing my local forums on the internet, I have been noticing a lot of "emo" haters. I also saw on some of the first pages on this thread, was a couple people who said they hated "emo" people. I just wanted to point out that they are not what you think.
On that note...to add to my list....
People who are prejudice about things they are ignorant about.
And here's a question for all you "emo" haters....Have you ever actually talked to a "emo" and tried to make friends with them?

Another thing that pisses me off is VH_man's b*tching about his social life. Stupid emo

I can't say either way how life started. Personally, I believe the likeliest way is with enough attempts, it will happen just right at some point.but I and other creationist refuse to believe the theory of evolution as the source of all life, at one point in my life I thought I had to accept that all species evolved for primitive lifeforms.
Take a look at this picture (warning, VERY large! - about 4 Mb): Hubble Ultra Deep Field (*)
Each one of those ~10,000 points of light (which includes even the tiniest of smudges in the background) is not just a star, but an entire galaxy, made up out of billions of stars (and their respective planets) - all in a patch of sky which could be covered by a grain of rice held at arm's length.
... When you realise just how big the universe is, then add the theorised thirteen and three quarter billion year age of the universe there's certainly enough planets, chances and time for life to start by chance, even if those chances are incredibly long.
Lets say I give you a 6-sided die and tell you to roll a 6. Getting a 6 on any one try is unlikely, but if I allow you to roll it a million times - you'll almost certainly get at least one.
Obviously, the chances of life are far slimmer than getting a 6, but that cosmic die can be rolled more times than you can possibly imagine. And if you accept that our universe may just be one in a whole array of others as well...
Of course, I couldn't say how the universe itself started... but if a god has created all that, he/she/it is way beyond any human comprehension.

I don't dislike emos as people, but I'm not into there dress sense, the whole skinny jeans and the fringe thing that is going on around where I live just doesn't do it for me. What does piss me off though is the ignorant assholes that walk past and say stuff like, omg you have long hair and pleasure to kill written on your t shirt, f**king emo.

iknowmy3tables, I'm with you when it comes to walking (not even downhill). I take really long strides for my height, because I've done it for my entire life. I hate being stuck for long periods of time behind slower people, because I actually get shin splints taking shorter strides. Some people say it's ridiculous, though. I usually outstride the 7' tall "freaks" around here.
I hate people who get get off their cell phones! I know it's probably been mentioned before in this thread, but it really pisses me off. People will be in the middle of a crowded hallway, taking fickin' 6" steps, texting, and oblivious to everything else around them. It really grates on my nerves now and again, especially when I (and most probably them) have a class in about 2 minutes.
EDIT - oh, and I really can't stand pseudo-intellectuals. You guys might know what I'm talking about...
"Did you go to your college algebra class today?"
"Oh yes, but the professor really needs to get a grasp on english, and some of the stuff he says I actually have to check against in the book, because he can't just stick to the original subject matter."
"I know, their tone is always so *big word looked up in thesaurus*. I mean, this is complicated mathematics, and they should stick to the book's layout."
Nevermind that the teacher has gone to college 8-12 years to teach what they're teaching, and the fact that college algebra is really just algebra from high school... very well documented, these fucking pricks think they can actually teach the stuff better. I've run across a few of these people. They're so condescending towards everybody else who hasn't read *book nobody cares about*, or doesn't question authority (when the "authority" has been studying for 8-12 years in what he's teaching). They think that whatever they study for their major (be it art, english, math, science, etc.) is the bang-up epitome of higher education, and that all other people (no matter what THEIR major is and what THEY'RE studying) who don't have a comprehensive grasp are drooling trolls who shouldn't be at school. I hate them.
Emo, in my view, is not the style of music, or a fashion. Emo people are people who are so caught up in their own emotions that they don't have a working grasp on functional life. It doesn't matter what they wear or listen too, I think emo people are people who let stupid little things like having no friends or being dumped, dropped, flunked, denied a job, housing, etc., get to them to the point they think life is wasted because of said problem. In reality, a functioning person goes through hundreds of these problems in their lifetime, and simply gets over them and moves on. Darkside, if you are not one of the "nonfunctional" people, then you have no reason to take offense to the word "emo", because the above definition is the major one thrown about when people say they hate emos. We're not going to find another name for it, so just get used to it.
Of course, that's what I (and a lot of others) believe. But, this is a thread about being pissed off, not enlightened, so lets not go into that.Ragnarok wrote: Of course, I couldn't say how the universe itself started... but if a god has created all that, he/she/it is way beyond any human comprehension.

Heck, I hate that - particularly in school corridors where you can't dodge round them.markfh11q wrote:I hate being stuck for long periods of time behind slower people
I naturally walk about half as fast again as most people, and when a gaggle of people has decided to cluster so no-one else can get past... Argh.
Then how on earth can anyone hope to accurately know the will of a being that is beyond any comprehension that we could possibly have?Of course, that's what I (and a lot of others) believe.

I really don't want to start a debate in this thread. If you want that question answered you can shoot me a PM. But I will simply give the faith answer for the time being.
Now, to add to the PO'd list.
I hate it when you fill up an entire big peanut jar with loose change, and then realize you don't have anywhere else to put the rest of the change that still keeps piling up.
