Well its time for another cannon. This really isn't different from Rebel Yell, its a little bigger, and has a few nicer details. My forman was pretty impressed when I put a bolt through the side of a van, and said he wanted one. So I built him one. Sorry for the lack of pictures, I was in a hurry and since school has started back agian, I won't be able to take pictures until the weekend.

Questions welcome

Clean build!
How many spark gaps does it have?
Paint job also looks cool.

Further there is not much to say, its just clean and nice, and has everything such a combustion needs.
Till the day I'm dieing, I'll keep them spuddies flying, 'cause I can!

Nice work biggsauce. Very clean redux. Did you implement your ignition the same as version 1 or do anything significantly different?

You should throw a burst disk under that 3" male coupler and witness the noise capacity of this thing...

Thanks starman. Yeah its almost the same, the spark strip has one more gap, and I took way more time in getting the biggest sparks possible.

As for the burst disk, I remembered your thunder cannons and realized I didnt have any masking tape. I have fired it off quite a few times without the barrel which gives off a very satisfyinh pow. I can only imagine what its capable of... :P

Pick up some Scotch 2" Blue Painters tape. For 1 layer, use 2 side by side slightly overlapped pieces to fully cover the 3" male opening. You'll need 7 layers to get up to about 65-70 psi on the 3" opening. Criss-cross the overlaps as you build up the layers. Trim the overlap with a sharp knife or exacto.

This is a 2" but you'll get the idea for the 3"....

You'll be pleased...

Looks very good, same as the last one.

So you started school again (IIRC you go to LSU in the Red Stick, right)? We'll have to meet up and shoot stuff sometime (obviously not on campus). I started Monday as well, taking mostly the required freshmen classes.

Thanks, and yeah its that time of year agian. You're pursuing math correct? And I'm down for shooting up stuff anytime. Starting school comes with long nights of homework and studying, but then theres the 17,000 girls and LSU FOOTBALL!

Yes, I did notice the 17,000 girls and... wait, what? Football? What's that?

I have my golfball cannon stored in Covington (on the northshore). It's only an hour's (or so) drive away whenever we feel like shooting stuff. I'd probably have to fix it up a little so it doesn't look too shitty next to this cannon, though.
