While i was marveling over DavidVani's newest creation, I came upon a sudden idea... it semi-complicates the launcher but actually simplifies the construction of the shells.
the pic should explain everything. Basically, it removes the schrader on the back end and replaces it with a simple hole, allowing an external air source to be attached to the back, and therefore making it... able to be fired from a remote position, and then reloaded by simply "popping out" the used cartrige.
EDIT: in fact i think i just figured out a better way to do this.......

yep, we actually remove the shreader valve from the back of it and just use the tire valve tubing a lot of the times.. this makes it so almost any air source can be used.

ah..... ok. nevermind then.
BTW, made one of your cartiges today, and im already hooked. with a little clever "airsmithing" i think i can create some sort of primary firing these things...
that and these things are CHEAP!!! 30 bucks for 15 of them..........

yes yes i know... I'm always lookin for some cheap alternative for airsoft or other use.. The other day the power went out and we needed a lantern so the whole room could have light. so I grabed a flashlight but noticed it was only going in one direction. So I took a plastic cup, wraped wax paper around it, then put aluminum foil in the bottom of the cup, then fliped the plastic upside down, taped it on the flash light and I had a lantern. It despersed the light evenly because of the wax paper.
I also sick of my computer mouse' cable on how it always twisted and bent and got in the way of moving my mouse for gaming. So I took a close line hanger (wooden clip), expoxied it onto a piece of wood and I guided the mouse cord through it and it worked.
Another creaton of mine was a ratchet screw driver. I had the bit of a screw driver but the handle broke off.. I grabed a pill bottle of exedrin, took off the cap.. drilled a whole in the center of it.. Epoxied the bit into the cap. then simply put the cap back on the bottle. the bottle/cap has a child safety device that doubles as a ratchet.
My brain is always looking at different things and how to make things out of them.
In my area these shells cost 50 cents to make.. so thats 60 shells for $30

Hmm I'm still figuring out how these things work because after my properly constructed portable BBMG, i'm trying to figure how to make these burst disk cartridges. I'm looking at spudwiki... i have a vague idea.VH_man wrote:same in my area.......
i really gotta say, they are quite ingenious..... I really kind of like them.
Instead of an AEG im going to try to replicate your 3-barrel grenade launcher.......
But basically i was planning to make 16mm burst disk cartridges and make a pump action type shotgun using them cartridge as the shell of my gun...
It's Nerf or Nothing.
Don't start crying when I play this as my hobby, Paintball, Airsoft and Nerf are equally good hobbies, except you can play Nerf in public. Good day! Hmph!

Ill keep you guys updated.
EDIT Wiki wont let me log in.. keeps giving me an error.

Pump action...... Take a look at Boltsniper.com for ejector/extractor ideas. i dont see why it wouldnt work, as long as you dont get to austentatious and try to make it feed from a tube magazine along the pump.littlebro05 wrote:But basically i was planning to make 16mm burst disk cartridges and make a pump action type shotgun using them cartridge as the shell of my gun...
that and Davidvani, it would be excellent to make a page on theese, as many people seem to not understand them (strangely).

Hmm I'm assuming this is a barrel piston like on spud wiki, don't understand how the schrader pull works.... i thought of so many ideas but couldn't think of the right one, cause all my ideas would end up having an air leak lol.VH_man wrote:Pump action...... EDIT: Oh I think I've just realised something, when you finish charging the actual cartridge you can actually remove the schrader out of the cartridge?
Because if that's the case I'm trying to see how you pressurise air into the cartridge without any leaks :S
