I've never heard of a high pressure pimp before
That seems like it would be nice, but I'm not sure I would be willing to pay $2000 for it.

It's hard to soar with eagles when you're working with turkeys.

How about this three stage? It's less money eating than that.http://www.pyramydair.com/cgi-bin/acces ... ry_id=1991
You can tell how awesome a cannon is by the pressure used.

Hats off to hubb for reading my mind, get off my wavelength!_Fnord wrote:Don't change it until JSR has the chance to post something amusing.
lolol
As to the pump, it would be an idea buy if say 20 members of ain airgun club chipped in a hundred bucks each, but as an individual purchase it's a bit steep.

@JSR: I'd say it's a little less than perfect for an air rifle club. In an ideal world, you'd want a compressor that would be up to filling 300 bar HPA bottles - that would be fine for a rifle, but not much more.
Does that thing kinda look like a big cat to you?

Precisely, it doesn't mean that no one would have bottles, but when using the club range it means that you don't have to lug a heavy cylinder around with you if all you're doing is topping up your rifle

Well it's about 2/5 the price of a pump for refilling scuba tanks which is something... But for a spudding accessory that's some serious dough to be parting with.

Considering that high pressures in the 750 psi range can be obtained with a hand pump built for next to nothing, it would be a convenient facility but certainly not for those on a student budget, which is a category most spudders would fit into.Hotwired wrote:But for a spudding accessory that's some serious dough to be parting with.

Which is my problem... too many complex and expensive ideas.jackssmirkingrevenge wrote:but certainly not for those on a student budget, which is a category most spudders would fit into.
If only I had a heap of money and Larda's machine shop... sigh.

I bet one could build his own for less then 2K.
I may do that someday...
