Gday guys
this is my first posted combustion.
constructed from PVC pipe - DWV
the chamber is 90m reduced to 50mm via a bell reducer and has a detachable barrel which is around 2.5 ft.
the clean out cap is female - a couldn't find any of those male ones in Bunnings
ignition is your standard BBQ ignition which is installed in the handle made from 25mm pipe and fittings.
the chamber has another cut down piece of 90mm pipe which i thought might make it stronger.
i have a fan sitting in the shed with all the circuit housing but i haven't got a 9v battery attachment so i wont put the fan in just yet, ill probably post more pics when that is done.
here are some pictorias

I like the 2 tone paint job there and the garden hose covered hose clamps. Once you get a fan in there, you could replace the back cleanout plug with a ball valve vent, Then, setup external propane meter with quick connects...like this...
I like the ergo handle as well. Overall nice cannon.

this quick connect things are a great idea. did you think of that yourself?

I love it Cosmic! Good work mate! I love the garden hose compliment especially. It is built pretty solid and it's simplistic nature makes it very user friendly. A++ Keep the good work up.

Thanks!! I thought of the concept of external metering myself, only to find several other people had already done it... I used HomeDepotPro's sprinkler pipe solution...was cheap and easy.Cosmic Muffin wrote:i was looking at them the other day actually, on your noise cannon thread, they are very nice cannons btw.

I like the cannon, nice and clean. I'm looking at that last picture though. Something looks cracked, though I could be mistaken. It's not unheard of.

lol what is caddy shack? im getting ideas of golf and small seaside houses haha.
thanks mate, yer that.. what you see there is not a crack, its a cut (very bad using tin snips) that is the "internal sleeve" that i thought might lower the chances of me becoming full of PVCpaaiyan wrote: I like the cannon, nice and clean. How is that fan held in place? Do you have a large picture? I like how its right at very aft end of the chamber. It seems to be held in place very snug as well. For my cannon I simply sanded down the corners and slid the fan in tightly. But as I look into my chamber through the cleanout it appears to be moving around a bit.
Anyways, love the new pics. It's still an A+ 8)
*p.s go shoot some plywood with some golfballs and film it ya? hehe*
