"In the world of spuds today"
Just a heads up, it's possible I may disappear for a day or so. Not likely, but if my laptop upgrades and reinstall which I'll be starting later today go wrong, then I'll likely not be around while I fix them.
Not that you're likely to panic or anything, but just an FYI.

Does that thing kinda look like a big cat to you?
Very silly. I don't know why I bother hanging around here. :tongue3:
After a bit of work, my laptop is going again, and I'm talking to you from a new hard drive. The operating system and core programs have been reinstalled on the new disk, although I have yet to pull my files and music back off the external hard drive, or reinstall all my collection of vidja games.
The only real problem was an argument with my laptop about it's keyboard. I have the UK layout keyboard, which differs from the US one in subtle, but annoying ways if you're suddenly swapped between the two.
UK layout (but mine hasn't the accented letters printed on it, although I can still access them with the Alt Gr key):
A typical US layout:
A minor enough matter that it took me trying to use the @ key (which yielded ") to re-register a program I was installing again, but instantly irritating.

Yes, on a similar note, I shall be away around the new year as I shall be visiting friends in the UK

In the world of spuds I did a test shot of my next cannon. Its pretty dang big with a 6 inch diameter chamber and 3 inch barrel.
Here is a teaser video of the damage. I wish we were still doing the damage shot competition...
And a direct link in case.... http://smg.photobucket.com/albums/v13/j ... bright.flv
That was a 13 inch TV shot with a frozen can of dog food at 60 psi.
I post this here since the cannon is not done.

I like to play blackjack. I'm not addicted to gambling, I'm addicted to sitting in a semi-circle.
I was surprised too. I put my cannon into ggdt and apparently I will get around 550 fps with a one pound projectile (at 100 psi), though I am sure I made some kind of mistake, that sounds pretty generous. I am not too familiar with a lot of that program yet.

''Might need a rake for all that little stuff'' lol. Ummmm awesome destruction you got there.
You can tell how awesome a cannon is by the pressure used.

Jookman, I saw that video, double-taked (took?) like 3 times, and started giggling like a little girl. I am very impressed.
Anyway, finished the twin compact ennis ball launchers, they are loads of fun; the hybrid is almost done minus a 1/4" brass nipple for the meter and a barrel; and the commisioned launcher designs are almost finalized

"You polish a turd, it's still a turd"

wait till I take it up to 100 psi and put up a 12 foot barrel (the barrel in the video is around 7 foot.)
Thanks for commenting guys
