Hello , I'm french. Sorry for my English but I use the voila translator therefore I hope that you will understand the bulk.
Total length : 1m20
Weight : 3 or 4 Kg
Caliber : 5.5mm
Pressure : 1bar to 25 bars / 15 to 360 psi
Speed : 175m.s-1
Power (J)] = 8J with a 5.5 projectil
Loading: Bolt action
Valve : Homemade 3/4 Qev
Barrel : 1m 6mm
Chamber : 1m 16mm
With 6 liters chamber = 30/35 fires
With 1 liter chamber = 5 fires
French air canon : The 404 not found
It looks a little like it came straight out of the brass section of the French Army band....
It does look unnecessarily complex but plenty sturdy and well constructed, especially for being soldered copper. Some action video is always appreciated.

Does it really have a length of pipe and 180 bend between the QEV and barrel? How much dead space does it have between the valve and projectile?Sedalc wrote:Hello , I'm french. Sorry for my English but I use the voila translator therefore I hope that you will understand the bulk.

Welcome to SF
I like a bullpup design, gets a lot of barrel in.
But there is a point where even I would say, right, this should not be built as a bullpup
Interesting build. Next time I think you should try to get a little less space between the piston valve / QEV and the barrel, it'll improve performance I promise

Welcome to spudfiles
Asides from trying to reduce some dead space this is a nice, well constructed and impressive cannon. It will be good to see what you can pull off in the future.

Looks like a great plinker. What sort of accuracy?
You need to mount the scope better but looks like you have it all set up for good fun.
I like the baby bottle setup. allows for a few shots before refilling. I got sick and tired of constantly pumping up my pvc gun with a hand pump.
Well done and welcome to Spudfiles
