yea, the 2.5" is only for the barrel, also, do they have clear pipe at home depot or lowes for a magazine/hopper? Also, do you guys have a better design i could use for a semi auto, possibly a piston or somthing that wont be incredibly hard to find parts for or to make?

PS: i was amost done w/ a pneumatic sprinkler valve marble gun, i may just make that semi auto
Lemonheads are cheap and pretty tough. They fit 1 inch just fine.

Since i figured out that 2.5" is at lowes, i don't need an alternative ammo. I wasn't sure about the availability of 2,.5" anyway. I am looking for a better semi auto valve design, im lookking for quick cycling in a valve. so, what do you think i should look at, and preferably with a loading mechanism on it. An animation would also help. Hey, mabe a homemade supah valve type thing.

For alternate ammo, you can find practice golfballs. They are made of foam, but often have a slightly denser core.

Hey, i was browsing and i foud this, this is perfect, the performance and all. But i'd rather a more simple way to achieve this performance.

Would a barrel sealing psiton and a blow forward loader work this well?

Foam practice golf balls don't go very far. I used my big cannon with the 2 inch barrel with a 1.5 SDR21 sleeve (golf ball sleeve) and gave one a high power shot. It barely made the outfield from home plate. Other than paper towels, I have not had any other item travel less far.

Tried returning a practice golf ball with the big cannon. It didn't even make it to the orange top trash can. Spuds, soda cans, apples, a Gateraid and other items were easily launched over tops of the trees behind these guys.

A barrel sealing piston with a blow-forward breech would be a great alternative. Put a spring behind the piston and you can fill it from the chamber side of the valve rather than behind the piston. The exhaust the piston with that sprinkler valve so you can have a blowgun trigger.

As for the clear pipe, that may be a stretch for a place like lowes. Try Mcmaster.com. It'll be expensive compared to opaque pvc.

True, but if you're shooting people, they're probably much better than real golf balls. Also, I have seen several different types, with different densities.

sorry ive been gone, i just had to go to my sister graduation and then out to eat. Sitting while they call 450 names sure aint fun. as for golf balls, a brand called almost golf makes balls that have a hard rubberized surface and a soft foam core, they sell them at edwin watt's but they're kinda expensive. But, im sticking w/ tennis balls. So, its settled, im making a barrel sealing piston valve w/ a blow forward ok, first things first, how do you guys think i should build the piston? I've never done a piston but i'm not new to the whole spudding scene.

PS: I was thinking about making my piston out of disks cut out of wood using those big drill bits, IDK if i have one big enough, i'll go see.

PS PS: I do have the right size, i think ill make my tee for the valve and all 2" and have just the barrel be 2.5". anyway, i need help finding a good barrel sealer to copy
