this is just something i whipped up on big blue saw designer.
what do you think? the bolt holes are marked green and its assembled layer by layer(layer numbers at bottom.)
i designed it for an engine but you could use it for a semi auto valve

There's a much simpler way to go about it..I've already posted it. They don't work that great for this.

I know, but there is a simpler way of doing it still. The performance isn't brilliant for spudgun applications unfortunately.

I'm making a rotary 4 cylinder, it will use a similar valve except will be able to fire in any position from the one air inlet.

Yes. First of all a single cylinder pin and ball, then a 4 cylinder rotary, then perhaps a 6 cylinder rotary and if I can be bothered I'll cast a block for the v8 I have drawn up.

Perhaps a v-twin as well, dunno. I might be selling them

nice. i am always looking at the possibiities of air.
its hard to find air motors. i was wanting to build an air powered car(ultralight) for a demo
but now i think i'll just get some cheap rotary sanders off ebay and mod them

If you have access to a lathe at least (a mill would also be good) then try this:

http://www.floridaame.org/

Go to the gallery, there's a bunch of sections (non combustion is what you want). There's a fair few plans there, and a fair few also have plans with them free. For example all one needs is basically some bar stock, some screws and a small bearing, but it still turns out to be quite nice.

Is that for a school project? I'm hoping we get a project like this so I can do something similar. (how will rubber band cars and the like compete  )
