It my first pvc cannon i have ever built(i have built a lot of polish cannons)
umm its combustion duh
its chamber is 3" pvc and the barrel is 2"
i usually shoot either tators or empty/partially empty caulking tubes.
i usually used either propane or aquanet as a propellent.
i have a stun gun for the ignition.

Looks painfully simple
What's up with the junk inside your chamber? is that from the build up from hairspray or something?
Anyways if your a combustion gun I would get the stun gun from this gun and build an advnaced combustion cannon :P ...
Be sure to use pressure rated parts if you build a metered mapp or propane gun though

Anyway, good build for a first :P hope you stay

I like it for the simple reason you called it a "tater cannon." I don't get to hear that term too often.

And, because of that, you get this:

It is the wiki page to answer any and all questions you may have on a combustion launcher.

thanks for the link.

could of i make my cannon into a advanced by getting camlocks so i could breach load it and add a burst disk and add a fan?

i would like to put a metered propane hookup on it but they are really expensive.

Well that would still be a spray and pray, but yeah those would all be big improvements. Is that PVC pressure rated? I would also recommend multiple spark gaps.

But nice tater cannon

thanks. the pvc is pressure rated. i dont really want to use multiple spark gaps because i allready put two big holes for lag skrews and i dont want to have to plug them holes.

I say leave this one as it is and plan on building another one from the ground up. Also, have an open mind for pneumatics.

As far as the sparking system goes, check into a spark strip. Here I have built one to make one, two, or three sparks and also houses a fan all in one unit.
