you defianly do NOT want solid metal pistons, they are way to heavy and hurt preformace. if you are just using the center section to block that EQ hole just thread the hole and put a set screw in or something. and make the piston hollow again

When you don't have an o-ring, or a 0,01 of a mm piston fit, you dont need an EQ hole.
Plug it (on the backside)
If you can, remove more material. Or, make a new piston, being hollowed out more, like a tube with two plugs.
I also wonder how the piston fit is. How large is the piston OD and tube's ID?
When turning a piston I keep testing if it fits in the tube the piston will slide in, reducing diameter by tiny bit by bit. First try it out on a small length of rod, and then write down what diameter it was, then make the piston, out of the rest of the rod. That's how I gave BTB's thundervalve its supertight ~1/50th of a mm fit.

I had to put a " channel " in the side for it to equalize.
Basically scratched the side with a knife.
BTW..I supergleud the face and it is SUPER reliable now!!
Best valve I ever had! I like it better than a QEV, has more flow and a personal touch.
Nylon rod makes a much better piston as it is light enough to remain solid.
You can also reduce pilot space by adding a spacer-type ring with a smaller diameter channel through it as I suspect you have too much travel as it is.
Anyway...get a fridgy and see what it does at higher pressures..I'm sure it will get a lot faster with every atmosphere you add.

OK, I think I am going to make a whole new piston out of nylon (but that will be after the week vacation), and shoot the old piston away! (off course I will make a video of it) Anyway, I am going to upload pictures on any update I make.

I have upgraded my male quick connect today. I have solved it with a bigger male quick connect. I have blown thru the handle to see if it really makes a diffrence, and it did. I had way less resistance when I had added the bigger male quick connect. So that's another improvement.

Finally got my fridgy working! I pumped it up to 30 bars in 3 minutes. And it makes a very loud bang, and has lots of recoil. The first time tested, I was like It's just way easier an more fun to have a fridgy. I love it. I am going to make a handle ontop of my fridgy, and then I am going to post a few pictures.

Ok, well I have tested my gun to 35 bars and I have to say it's very impressive how much power it has. I have never thought air could have such high power... Damn. I have tested it with a hand full of yellow bb's and here are the results

So yea.. that's it I will offcourse test it with marbles and other projectiles Damn, I wish I had a high speed camera....

When shooting marbles, be careful with ricocheting.
I have found that hard targets (metal) are safer then softer targets like soft wood.
Marbles that shatter don't bounce back. I had a marble push itself 2 cm into soft wood and then bounce back into my face....
Put your target at an angle.

I sure will do that. I am VERY careful with that high pressure
Thanks for the tip though. The bb's I was shooting I had safety glasses with ear protection.
EDIT: I will going to shoot a marble against a old ww2 helmet. Will it go thru? I personally don't think, or maybe it does penetrate? We will see. One thing is for sure, you really don't want to be in the front of the barrel :binky:

- Added handle to the fridgecompressor.
- Added 28mm copper barrel.
- Added the sealingface to the barrel.
- Modified the barrelsupport. (I have more of these made)
- Added the setup for my fridgecompressor.
I have to say it has bigger recoil then the 22mm copper barrel, and also a bit more powerful. Thanks to BTB.
