Why don't you saw off the chamber and replace it with a 90 degree elbow, then the chamber? It would be more ergonomic and easier to hold.

nice gun i see that you put a lot of time and effort into it to get the part's and put it togeather!
If you were to rebuild it in a new gun what would you do differently because i see very little improvement in it if any at all again great job!!!

Google the copper tube handbook. It has useful information on different sizes and types of copper.
You haven't made it entirely clear what you plan to build, but depending on the size a fair mix hybrid or mid pressure pneumatic (several hundred psi) will work with a very acceptable safety margin. However, don't consider using proper firearms cartridges or shells in pipe like this.

I love the idea of removing the little Handle on the valve and installing a "trigger", looks like it would be mouch more accurate to fire and easier to hold during firing. How long is the Barrel? what size is the chamber? I take it alot has to do with the "polite valve" when it comes to performance? Cute dog BTW, what breed?.

Hi mate,
Thanks very much for your interest. This type of pilot valve is by no means new. Quite a few of the Dutch spudders used this before such as Brain The Brain. The barrel is about 80cm long and the chamber is 1/2'' galvanized steel. How fast you can empty your pilot really can either make or break performance. This gun was always fantastic due to the size of the valve compared to the pilot area.
She's a marrema. They are a 2000 year old breed of dog from Italy. They are a guardian breed. They were bred to sleep with the flock to protect from bears, thieves and foxes as well as looking out for the Shepperd and his family.
