			are you guys talking about those presoldered fittings with the band of solder already in them? cause those definately are not much more expensive than regular fittings and quite convineint i must say  

 . but what are you talking about melting the fitting down? what does that have to do with anything? and i doubt the proportions would be right to make brass anyways.

			This would be a great tutorial as many probably do not know how to solder copper pipe. I only know because my dad does jack of all trades work and tought me a bit. But some people may not admit to it and secretly use it.
