I just got this regulator. I've searched everywhere but can't seem to find an answer. I will be using this for a BBMG and my pneumatic cannons. I plan on using HPA instead of co2. I need to know if i can just screw a paintball co2 tank on or if i need a special fitting. posting pictures of a paintball guns co2 tank threaded are would be nice. Do you think this is a good regulator?
Thanks in advanced! 8)
Is this regulator paintball tank compatible?

Paintball co2 tanks have ASA threads on them, and will not thread into that regulator ... as is.
The lowest cost way to convert ASA threads to NPT threads that I'm aware of is this;
http://cgi.ebay.ca/ASA-Paintball-CO2-Ad ... 5ad697e720
It gets you to 1/8"npt, and from there you'll need at a minimum...an 1/8" npt nipple and a 1/4"npt to 1/8" npt bushing.
Bryan and associates may be able to help you with a more elegant solution...for a price.

Any welding supply store will have the correct nipple for using this regulator with CO2.

CO2 bulk tank?? For certain.John Conklin wrote:Any welding supply store will have the correct nipple for using this regulator with CO2.
But the op asked about a paintball CO2 tank.
Consider yourself fortunate indeed if your welding supply store has anything with ASA threads...mine certainly don't.

Search online for ASA adaptors. If you can't find anything, send me a diagram of it (including thread dimensions etc.) and payment for postage. If I have plenty of the right size stock I'll sent it for the price of postage.
But make sure you check your other options first. There are definitely adapters out there.

The regulator you have is an oxygen tank regulator. Oxygen tanks usually have reverse threads (backwards). Besides that, the regulator is rated for oxygen and not CO2. The CO2 may damage the seals. It would probably work with HPA, but you still have the problem of having the wrong threads.
Best bet is to just break down and purchase a Palmer's stabilizer. It is already equipped to handle CO2 and HPA and come in ASA threads. They run anywhere from $60 to $90 new, but you could probably find one cheaper on eBay.
