Well after reading this post I realized propane would be a good cheap alternate for co2. But since propane expands slowly it would need an expansion chamber so I came up with this design. Has this been tested before with a dual chamber design.

It has been attempted for a 2" semi auto. IIRC, it didn't work out because of some valve issues. You shouldn't have any problems in a BBMG, except that it will smell bad, and the tank will get cold as the liquid propane evaporates. You shouldn't use it indoors, because you will be releasing a lot of propane into the atmosphere. With care, you could attach a pilot light to the muzzle, thereby having a flamethrower AND a BBMG.
Make sure you use a nonregulated propane adapter, like one from a torch, or else there is one that is sold at IIRC, Harbor fright that takes the threads to NPT.

Ok, dont think i am going to go with the flame thrower idea, but I think I'll give this a try. They sell some propane adapters a walmart so Ill have to check and sell If there regulated.

yeah well Id much rather deal with the smell than blow about 150 bucks on a c02 setup. I can probably get all the parts for this for around 20. All I need is a full tank and a empty tank/ plus 2 npt adapters.

it would be pretty awsome if someone made an airsoft flame-thrower and it used the propane tanks. then you could buy one of those large green propane tank packages and have all of them strapped to your back. but then you would be a walking bomb so it's not the safest thing.

how big is the propane chamber and how big is the expansion chamber? how many shots could you get?

well the camp tanks were what i was planning to use, so like 10 inches tall and a diameter of 5 inches, no idea about how many shots I will get, It looks like noname got a good amount though
