yes i like your idea but i think its getting a like more complicated then what i want, here is a quick demonstration of the mechanism at work(sorry for the bad quality) also i replaced a spring so its not as hard to press the button

-_-, yes a blowgun would have been easier but then it wouldn't be able to be hidden as well in the handle, also i want to use this at 400psi and higher if i can and i dont know if it would be any good at that pressure, plus i have no job or money so that dose not help when it comes to buying stuff

I did wonder if I was making it a bit too complicated. I like simple. But I tend to 'hillbilly engineer', in a complicated way, until I get it worked out. Then try to reverse the process to get the same result, but with simpler and/or less mechanisms.

I'm with you, on the no money thing.

My very first build, (which I am currently working on.), is going to look more klunky than it really would have had to look, if I had been able to afford the right parts.

As-is, it is being built mostly from parts I already had around the house, from old and current plumbing projects.

yes well i think i have decided to use a round block instead of the square one so if it turns it wont get jammed, also i iv made the travel of the trigger further and the hooks that hold it back smaller so you dont have to press the safety as far to unlock it, in the finished version i am planing to have a spring on the bolt so it automatically retracts when the trigger is released

Looks fantastic, it's almost a shame to hide it... but of course a clear acrylic handle showing the mechanism would sort of give the game away

thanks, i alos like the look of it so maybe after i finish it i could make a single grip out of some acrylic if i find some and bit time, because ill probably have at least one side of the grip removable so i could switch them around if i wanted. thanks for the idea, i like it!

hello, just thought i would make an update on how things are going the handle is pretty much finished just need to glue on a pice of pipe but it seems to work well

sure you could use that as the final gun if you were going to give the cane to a baby but no that was just my pen gun that a tapped some pipe to so i could screw it in the the handle for testing the actual gun i am making for this is going to be roughly 1m long 8mm id chamber and 5mm bore barrel

another reason why i didnt decide to use a blow gun is that iv read that there not that good for higher pressures and i was wanting to make a simple coax to someday take advantage of the higher pressure of a homemade pump or fridge compressor, just thought i would let you know some of my reasoning behind it and thank you for your comment
