Since I'm in highschool i rarely have time to be on pc besides research and study. But i can always go to the internet by my telephone. Recently all my posts are made on my phone(including this one), but it was a little bit complicate as spudfiles doesn't have a telephone version. So i just want to know if it's possible to develop a portable version of spudfiles for telephones? Like YouTube and Google. Thanks

It would be possible. It would require a template for phpBB designed for cell phones and a separate installation with the tempalte accessing the same database on a subdomain or directory, like http://mobile.spudfiles.com, or http://www.spudfiles.com/mobile/ .
You mean like a Spudfiles app? The title is a little confusing. I know with an iPhone, the screen is big enough to just use a web browser.

Well more or less, my phone's screen is almost as big as a iphone, and i just feel a little bit difficult to see some topics and complicated to quote/write messages. I mean like a vision more summarized, without pubs and some unnecessary pic etc.saefroch wrote:You mean like a Spudfiles app? The title is a little confusing. He means a version like facebook mobile, a simplified version with less formating and fancy stuff like colors and backgrounds.

Ill send this to PCGUY, hes the Admin so its up to him.
He wants a mobile version of the site designed for mobile viewing. See the clicky link that Gun Freak posted, and compare it to the normal facebook site.
Although you can load SF on a phone, I suspect it takes a while to load pictures and the like, when all you're interested in is the text.

It really doesn't take all that long to load SF on an iPhone, you just need a little patience, but loading time really depends on connection speed.

I know with iPhone 3GS it is sometimes difficult writing long posts. Like you end up with the spellcheck button halfway through your text and the text box doesn't scroll down to show what you're typing past the bottom of it. My phone might be just erm, "special", though.

Posted from itouch but this bread took probably 50 seconds to load completely. Facebook mobile, about 10.
If you set up google mobile formatting, it takes my droid with shite reception 5 seconds to load all bar pictures, they take 10~15 seconds.
You can't post but it's good for reading it, I have 150 MB per month on my phone so I'm a tight a*** with downloads.

While you're at it, you might as well make GGDT for mobile phones
That would be awesome!FighterAce wrote:While you're at it, you might as well make GGDT for mobile phones
Use the EBC to know what angle you need to make a certain range, while you're out on the field.
Plus fiddle with the numbers for your next design all the time, not just when you're at your computer.
