Anyone know where I can get some sort ammo for a bbmg in Australia or even something I could use as ammo shipped to Australia (that will pass through customs)? Cheap and large quantities would be ideal.[/b]
I have been using 6mm beads.. They have a little hole through them, but still fly pretty well especially if your running a hop up..

I buy these by the gram in brisbane, cost me $11 for 100 grams which is a fair bit

you can buy 6mm bearings for bikes on ebay, in australia already. or they sell 6mm slingshot ammo at archery stores if you can find one.

Sweet. There is an archery store a while away from me, shall have a look.
Edit: hang on a minute, would beads from a craft shop or something like that be consistent enough in size and shape to use?

Awesome thanks for the help! would those beads fly as far as 50 feet? I'm not overly worried about accuracy or lots of power really.
Definately. Especially if you have a little hopup system..Awesome thanks for the help! would those beads fly as far as 50 feet? I'm not overly worried about accuracy or lots of power really.
Another thing I'v been using, but gets pretty tedious is polymer clay. You roll it into balls then cook it in the oven and it sets hard.. Its heavier, and flies truer than the beads.. But can get a bit annoying making them

Haha I can imagine! That's a pretty good idea if you have a single shot though. What sort of material would work beat with those beads?
Im guessing you mean the material they are made of?What sort of material would work beat with those beads?
If so, the heaviest ones iv found are the glass ones, they fly quite well, but are pretty expensive.. otherwise bone, or wood.. but again they are expensive.. I just use the plastic ones, very cheap and I dont care if I lose them and such..They still hurt a crap load though, I took one in the arm at 180psi.. split the skin in a nice little ring and welted up nicely

Haha ahh sorry, using my iPhone. I meant barrel material but that's handy to know anyway. I probably wouldn't be shooting over 120psi, but I'd probably reg. to 80 or 90

Probably going with an online vortex, machined block inside a 40mm PVC pressure pipe ammo chamber with a 25mm PVC pressure pipe joiner filled in in the centre with an old nerf gun spring as a plunger, and either something like this as a trigger valve:

Or just a blowgun trigger.
Hopefully I can use the stock as an air tank too
