I routed out a simple muzzle brakes today.
I have no idea how well it will work, I had to pretty much just guess on its geometry, I made the hole size 2.375", and the distance between the slots .5". Does any one have any thoughts, insights or experience with different or similar designs.

Thoughts eh?
That's kind of neat.
Maybe useful link...

Pic is gone now, but it was the classic "hole in the side" muzzle brake.
Have spoken with a couple guys who have a TON of experience with airguns, one guy said optimum angle for slots was 17degrees....other guy said 15 degrees....I say split the difference.
Have built a few airstrippers, one that functions as a compensator. Improvements in accuracy were obvious once adjusted. Have done one in polished aluminum too...it's pretty, but doesn't belong to me anymore.

that should work good. if it doesn't start again with angled vanes.
film it then compare the two and see what works better
looks cool in clear plastic
can't wait to see its development play out
