Hey Guys,
This is my first successful build of a pneumatic gun. Made it after several failed attempts. It is a high pressure air gun. I can fill it up to 600 psi with my fridge compressor but it takes almost 3-4 minutes so i usually do with 350 psi with my 600 psi pressure regulator. I have tried firing it at several objects. It totally destroys plastic objects with 7 gram bolts. I have even tested it on some stainless steel and food container of metal which it has both demolished. SO check out the pics and tell me wht u think....all comments are appreciated!

I'm very interested to know how you got that muzzle velocity... It's incredibly optimistic.
GGDT says you'd need to use a pressure OVER 9,000psi to get 975fps.

My ammo is a 5 gram bolt ....by default the ammo weight is set to 100 grams....thts probably the reason its showing 9000 psi!!! Ill upload a snapshot of my GGDT config soon mate!!!!

In the original post, you said you got 975fps with 7g nuts, so that's what I put in, and using the correct valve configuration simulation along with my .75" estimation for a 1" metal ball valve at 9,000psi I get:

I like how the before and after destruction photos changed the type of can. 8) Cool if you can take a screw top can and make it into a soup can in one shot.
The high mass of the projectile is very forgiving for the slow valve opening time. The graph is showing at that pressure the acceleration is not very limited by the valve after about 1.5ms which is impressive for a ball valve.
Unless the chamber is not in the photo, that chamber and valve are not 2 inch.
What size is the valve? Either that or you have some very large floor tiles.

LoL ...ma floor tiles are 24" x 12"...and my opening time is less than 0.5 seconds with my lubricated spring action trigger! And the can are both of same material which is not thin aliminum like pepsi cans!

Mount that thing on a stock, and make it a spring loaded ball valve.

I tested it with a guy I know, and it has more than three times the power of a hand-opened ball valve.
Also, the cans are made of very thin steel, there's not much needed to go trough.

too right mate...ill upgrade it with a good spring soon ...my current spring is too cheap....ill probably add a good paintjob and laser sight too

Wow,those floor tiles are VERY SQUARE for 24''x12'', also, by size comparison to the xbox controller, you projectile, barrel, valve and chamber are 1''

I too noted the 1 inch valve.
Can you kindly provide a photo of the complete launcher with the 1 inch valve and 2 inch chamber all in one shot? Without it I tend to believe the launcher is vaporware. The only complete real launcher we have seen so far has a 1 inch chamber with a 1 inch valve. It is in the photo labeled

I have personally found soup cans to be thinner than primer cans, though not as thin as Pepsi cans. I can open Pepsi cans by hitting one with a marshmallow. I have video showing it. lol thread, you should make a piston valve, so much more power than an ordinary ball valve
