Is it possible to machene an adaptor with the correct threads for a actual paint ball gun aftermarket barrel on one side, and, say, 1 inch or 3/4 inch NPT threads on the other?

paintball barrels cost $80 here, but i spose it would work, you can get hand held pipe threaders as well.i was thinking about using a proper PB barrel but as i said before its $80NZD for 12"
This guy who owns a machine shop saw my guns and said I could go in and weld steel cannons for free and stuff, I'll bring in my paintball gun barrel and see about machining threads for a paintball gun on PVC.
