im looking to make a semi auto, so I'm wondering what type of set up is easiest? I've heard the the QEV with the 3 way is pretty easy, from what he has told me wyz2285's design seems pretty simple (heres the video of the design ) and i have heard of hammer valves and slide valves but don't exactly know how they work. I would try the 3 way with QEV but i cant make a 3 way and im not sure which ones i can use if i were to purchase one. So can someone show me a 3 way and a QEV that i can use or just the 3 way or tell me other easy designs?

The easiest way in my opinion is a detent, either mag fed or cloud chamber fed, as it is the simplest and cheapest way. Not the most reliable though.
If you wanna go the qev route, this plus this will give you semi auto, but then you need to figure out a loading mech. A tee mag would work.

3way valve + air cylinder combo is really the easiest and the most 'foolproof' way to achieve semiauto...
basically speaking you just join all the parts together and voila! it works
if you're looking for a good 3way valve get a MJVO-3 from clippard

oh and you can get an air cylinder there too

It doesn't need to exhaust out a port

yeah, it doesn't and it doesn't have to
it's a normally open valve - that's exactly what you need
sure it would be neater if MJVO-3 was a universal valve, one that has all three ports threaded and can be used both as NO and NC valve - but hey from what I heard and what I can find its datasheets it's a very good valve

It is a good valve... but it can be expensive depending on shipping costs. It's 30 bucks for me to get one

I explained slide valves recently here, you're using ready made components than can be bought cheaply online, and it's an efficient system for a semi-auto.

Spot on!,This is how my new gun is( 3 way valve,Qev and Air cylinder) just need to drill/thread the hole in the Aluminium feeder block for the barrel and it will be running at last!.
