nice but why is a captive blade (i.e. not a true projectile)?

Seems like the perfect challenge for us here at The Slingshot Channel!

It turned out quickly that rotational speed is needed in order to stabilize the flight of the blade. Otherwise it will tumble and loose speed quickly, as shown in two slow motion scenes. So a special weapon was devised that adds this rotation to the saw blade, and the effect is quite impressive.

A shot of the blade into a watermelon demonstrates the destructional potential of this slingshot invention.

Certainly not a Zed killer, but usefull "less lethal" ammo.

The Financial Times Germany brought almost a full page about me, very positive coverage in the prestigeous weekend issue.

(Edit... however, I don't know if he's actually referring to us when he says he's leaving "slingshot forums". I don't think we ever trolled him or anything

Daniel, I am neither leaving this forum nor my youtube channel, just the slingshotforum (which used to be my "home base").

I made a few more variations for the "Panther", it is too much fun.

First, I "married" the "Lead Launcher" handle (part of a design I made for Gamekeeper John) with the Panther, simply by cutting the side bars off the frame handle and fitting it into a wooden handle. The wood is "cornus sanguinea", common dogwood. I wanted it to stay as bright as it is naturally, so I did not stain it, just polished and polycoated the whole thing.

I encourage every power hungry shooter to try this handle, it allows ridiculous draw weights. Here you see it equipped with four layers of TB Gold, a full butterfly set that propels the one inch (25 mm) steel balls to ridiculous speed.

I also made a very thin "Speznaz" version of the Panther, just by using a length of shrink tube to cover the handle. I outiftted it with a full butterfly set made from two layers of TB Gold, very good for the 20 mm steel ball ammo.

Joerg, anyone who gives you insult is simply jealous of your slingshot genius. People made fun of the Wright brothers, and now we're flying.

The internet is definitely just a den of sharks waiting for their first hint of blood in the water. Glad to see you're staying active overall though.

On another note, I actually have some dogwood scraps from a tree in front of my house. They've been drying for about three years and I've experimented with it's workability. This stuff is tough, but very nice to cut. I've no doubt the strength translates perfectly as a slingshot grip.

I actually had an idea for something you would probably be able to bring to life. Ever thought of a wrist mounted sling x-bow? This could be a challenge if you made it to be compact to the point of looking very cool on a bare arm.

That has to be one of the best slingshots I have ever seen. After watching you and your channel, makes me want to get into slingshots again. You truly are a genius when it comes to this stuff. Hope to see more and new inventions soon!!

Loved the look of different grips you made for the Panther slingshot so i decided to have a go on the Cougar slingshot that i won from one of your videos.
It's a little rough and could do with more sanding but its fine for now.
