for god´s sake this isn´t the first time a new guy came here and ask a plan for a bb gun and have no idea at all about it.
Buy a airsoft gun, that´s your best chance for good semi/full auto with accuracy.
If you really want to make one, do you have paintball tanks and place to charge it? because most of semi/full auto bb guns around here needs a constant air source.
shameless self promotion: this can be charged by a shock pump, bolt action, 10 shots per charge.

After, some advice I recieved from a few users here in the forum, I decided to go for a crossbow with a slingshot-like system.
I really wanted to do it with a barrel, but i'd have a hard time cutting the sides of a PVC tube, sooo any plans for this which include the trigger system?

I didnt know I broke a rule, and if I did, I am sure a moderator would have told me. And I wasnt giving anyone a hard time, I just told the kid to do a little more research. And who are you to be judging people and telling them that they broke a rule or didnt break a rule in the first place?? Stop trying to be something that your not dude.Lockednloaded wrote:That is the single worst reason I've ever heard to give a member a hard time. I generally keep mouth shut when it comes to stuff like this, but you're a repeat offender, and I don't have to be a moderator to realize you're breaking the rules. You gave virtually no insight that he couldnt achieve by clicking the link, so don't act like you were trying to help.mattyzip77 wrote:Everyone gave me shitt when I first started out on here, I am just giving a little back, and I did give him some insight and a little info in the process. If I wanted a opinion from a moderator, I would have asked Crowley or jrrdw, real moderators, not a wanna be! the last stone[/rant]

Watch it!Real moderator entered the room...If you cannot figure that out, maybe you should do some more researching, or another hobby. Not being a meenie, just sayin....... However, I will give you this, the best way to get air for the gun in the link you listed would be a shock pump!
Actually it wasn't bad enough to start al this ranting.
Matty's right about doing some more research.( suggesting to him to take up another hobby is kinda insulting... )
You can't just link a newbie to a launcher and say: this is simple enough.
Do that.
Pedrojoca needs to learn a lot of things so it seems.
QEV....slide valve....T-mag... say what?!?!??!?!
Pneumatic launchers all share 3 basic components:
A barrel, a reservoir to hold the pressure and a valve inbetween to release that pressure.
You can learn about valves in the wiki.
I have made a pretty powerful mechanical launcher firing marbles with rubber bands and a system of pulleys. That could work.
But after you read through this forum and learn your basics you will still need tools to build it.
That goes for any type of launcher.
The simplest way to get multiple shots would be to use ballvalves.Basic turn-to-open valves.
use 1 reservoir or bottle to hold the bulk of the pressure.open the first valve and let pressure into your " firing" reservoir.Close the valve.
Open the second valve wich leads the air directly into the barrel.
This could be seen as an exercise to get into the world of pneumatic launchers.
You need to get the basics behind it,
After that you can learn about better and more sophisticated valves and learn about different loading mechanisms.
I don't think many of us started out with a multishot -ready to go to makebelieve war- kind of launcher.
Baby steps. All of them are fun...

Can't ask for a better compliment!!

the sling shot channel thread - http://www.spudfiles.com/forums/the-sli ... 19034.html It's a hard one to find
Don't ever try and cut down on complexity for a trigger mech, for starters firing any low complexity trigger mech unless really well designed is really annopying and unpredictable, and secondly if the original has a trigger mech and you redesign it badly it may not work at all.
I am judging by the amount of questions you ask you are new to spuddin' and its deviants, maybe it's worth looking through the site and familiarising yourself with basic concepts and what will and won't work's of what you are going for, otherwise you may get something horribly wrong and you could kill yourself, or even worse - the gun might not work!!

a pneumatic is always a good starting project, it accustoms you to the principals of spudding and the results are always good. after that you are really free to where you go.
for the ultimate cheap starting point, a ball valve pneumatic is great.
after that, the experience you would gather from that really gets you accustomed to how different pressures, ammos - etc perform, from there there is whole world of further plans and designs to get you on your way, and eventually you will attain your 'perfect gun'
Just BE CAREFUL! I cannot stress this to guy's new to the hobby enough, if you start on a complex gun and you haven't really done your research it can be fatal. when I was younger (cue 'when I was a boy' style rant) I believed I could make a combustion cannon, I drilled a hole in the chamber of my gun for the pizo lighter, I charged the gun put the spud down t' chute, and clicked the pizo - nothing, I angrily took the pizo out and just wanting a boom and splat result before I went to bed I completely forgot the most basic theories of spudding and physics and held my jet lighter to the gap and pressed the button, BOOM! the spud was jammed in so hard that a massive jet of flame spat out and engulfed my hand holding the lighter, I looked at my hand shouted various profanities and threw down everything and jumped around for a few minutes. - the jet had completely torn off the skin on my hand and had eaten away a large portion of flesh on my thumb. luckily my neighbour heard the yell and well.. what more can I say? so yes, don't be stupid with guns, and eat your greens!!!

I started like this: a coke bottle and a ball valve, one shot per charge. Then I wanted multi shot by adding another ball valve and chamber, then I wanted a better trigger so i started making blowgun pilot piston valve, then I wanted semi auto so I tried make a smaller qev... From when I started (1 july 2009) until now, 2 years and A LOT of money . If you think build a good airsoft gun is cheaper than buy one? wrong, if you don´t have enough patience, you better not start, it will be a wast of time and money

how would you put the air into the coke bottle in your first project?
I am guessing he would have used a schrader (bike inner tube) valve.
