My second Potato Gun
Hi everyone,
First of all, please apologize some grammatical and other errors, my English is not very good, I am from Czech Republic (small country in middle of Europe). I want show you my second Potato gun, what I made. On this gun I worked almost whole holidays of this summer and I think I succeeded quite 8).
Here are some features:
- weight: 2,3kg
- height: 170cm
- chamber volume: 4l
- barrel diameter: 5cm
- muzzle velocity: about 65m/s
- range: about 200-300m
- electronic trigger
- fan (runs on 18V)
- add laser and collimator (from old toy-gun and its mainly for effect, but functional)
- construction time: about 30hours
- price: about 800czk (its about 45usd)

Thx, I had to used the tape on chamber, for covering a wires and other things . And as fuel I use only Propan-Butan spray (for filling of lighter) its powerful and quite cheap, but there is problem with dosage (if its the right word )Labtecpower wrote:Looks pretty cool

Hehe I use exactly the same gas
You can meter it using this;
If your chamber is 4 liters you need 132 ml of butane.

Thats a pretty cool build. I think you may have used a little too much tape though, lol! I like how you incorporated the pistol onto it. Congrats!

I don't know if it's legal in our country, but I am pretty sure, that if cops see the gun, they will confiscate it

I disagree, if you epoxy the screws when you put them in, there is no real loss of power or stability. However, I wouldnt do it on a pneumatic or a hybrid!!!Gun Freak wrote:The screws only weaken it.

Ok it probably won't blow up but what is the use of drilling holes in the chamber and plugging them with screws?
