I apologize for the repetitive questioning on the same topic, now I am being relatively rushed to start my BBMG project. Could anyone reccomend a good, cheap CO2 regulator? It will be used on a five pound or smaller tank, and will be hooked up to an inline vortex BBMG, if that makes a difference. Also, could anyone tell me if a standard 20 oz. paintball tank would be enough to power a BBMG? Again, my apologies for incessant questioning.

Gracias,
Ofthelion

Aquarium reg?

I have no personal experience with them but some claimthey are good for 300 psi output.

More than enough, make sure you have an expansion chamber though to avoid it freezing up.

Thanks; also, do you know how many FPS 300 psi would give me? Again, I apreciate the quick reply.

Thanks, but the link disn't work for me. Although, I appreciate the thought. Lol, I think I'm just going to build it. I mean, I can always experiment with all that technical stuff later.

It was meant to be something like this:

I advise heavily against that, post a design first and let the forum have a look at it, better to spot mistakes before you start cutting and gluing.

Are you dense? Everyone at my job knows a piece of string is just long enough to reach both ends an no longer. Don't they teach science anymore?

Good answer, actually. But not technically answering the question.

Haha. :D I'm pretty sure that you all are incorrect. In fact, string does not even exist! If my calculations are correct... [checks calculations] Darn it! I thought I was on the verge of a breakthrough! :( But on a more serious note, I will try to get a good drawing up. Gun freak, you will probably be able to help me on this one, but what is a good diameter hole for my vortex block? And how much of the hole should the skirts cover? (I've heard aprox. 70%)

PS- (Matty, I wanted to let you know that there is most certainly a grammatical error in your signature. When used correctly, Pittsburgh Steelers and suck should not be used in the same sentence, with the only exception being: "The Pittsburgh Steelers are 1337, and all other NFL teams suck, especially the Patriots.")
 Not flaming, just sayin'. :D

Someone please correct me if I'm wrong.
From what I think I remember reading, a smaller hole means a faster ROF. And vice versa. My M16 uses approximately a 1" hole. It has an insane ROF. That's goes without saying for BBMGs though. I would hypothetically suggest a 3/4-1" hole. Any smaller and your chamber probably won't hold much ammo, any larger and your chamber will probably have to be of large diameter (at least 2").

Sounds good to me. Thanks for that, I hadn't any idea of how large it should be. Hmmm... Also, does the vortex block Have to be the exact diameter of the pvc pipe? Like if I have a 2" chamber, does my block have to be 2" tall to divide the pipe in half?

Had seen it, brilliant :) though I don't find Alan Davies as amusing as I used to.

Vortex blow hole should be around 3 times the diameter of your projectile at least, and the area not covered by the skirt should be between 1.1-1.9 times the projectile diameter.
