Hi guy's! I hate something with homade airgun it's when we shoot to the down direction and the ammo just slide down the barrel!!! I had an idea; i bouhgt 8mm ( as my barrel )steel balls (made fore bearings ) and i thought i just set a small magnet on the extern side of my barrel and it will be done. But thoose f*****g balls are stainless steel and it doesn t magnet i can change ammo and use a magnet but it will be great if i cokld use thoose stainless balls i thought about put dome paper into the barrel after my ball but it s not really ellegant so any ideas guys ?? Note that i m charging my gun through the exit side of the barrel !

create a detent and tune it so that when you roll the ammo down the barrel, it's momentum overcomes the detent but when you tilt it back down they can't pick up speed and are therefor held in place by the detent. I assume you are using precision ammo?

I think i am missing something here...victorjung wrote:i thought about this but this stainless steel doesnot magnet:(
Steel is made up of 2 things, iron and carbon. Stainless steel is steel with chromium. Iron is a ferromagnetic material. Logically anything that consists mostly of iron should be able to attract magnets - stainless steel included.

so for stainless steel it's maybe steel but i am pretty sure that stainless never magnet i also heard abouta simple test to know if a stainless is good quality its to try to magnet it, if it magnets so you have bad stainless:) mine stainless steel magnets a verry verry little bit... but never enough to use a magnet to hold ammo in my barrel !!!
